“ if -- if you’re really sure it’d be alright. ” she wants to try, very much so; he makes such beautiful melodies from this piano. they’re so soothing, so wholly warm even when they’re sad; though alex can never hope to do anything close to that, part of her wants to experience what he does when he plays. he wants to share it too -- or so she hopes she can assume from his offer. it’s a kindness that leaves her a smudge off balance, but the ghost of her smile that lingers is soft. still, she’s hesitant as she brushes a feather light touch over a few of the keys, " i haven't played much. " or at all, maybe - she doesn’t remember very well, but her recollection of the way yuji has danced with this piano since this delicate companionship started has made enough of an impact in many ways. there’s one in particular that sticks with her, short and simple it may have been compared to some of the others he’s played. with only a vague memory of his movements to propel her, alex brings her hands up to the keys and plays a few notes. for a few moments, all she focuses on is the sounds of the piano’s melody and the way her fingers glide over the keys, but not too long passes before she pauses, “ that didn’t sound quite right just now. ” far from discouraged, she’s thoughtful, albeit unsure of her mistake, and naturally her gaze falls to yuji, wordlessly seeking his thoughts.
