Greetings
Welcome to Fat Kid Laws: A blog about all rules, regulations, guidelines, traditions, and myths about being fat. First, let's make one thing clear: fat is not just a state of body - it is a state of mind. One can be very thin and yet still be a fat kid in his/her mind. Next, we are not condoning unhealthy or destructive life habits; however, we are exploring the processes and reasoning behind being a fat kid. There may be risks. First off, meet Daniel: My name is Daniel and I am a fat kid. For as long as I can remember I have been bigger than most. Although most people would not define me as fat, I am still fat at heart. I enjoy food. All food. I enjoy eating my fill and I love taking home leftovers... although I'm often sad I could not finish it all. I am the Destroyer of Buffets, and chicken wings fear my very name. I have entered the blogosphere to share stories and my wealth of knowledge regarding my journeys and how they relate to my appetite. And then, to even our gender representation, meet Shannon: And my name is Shannon, and I am also a fat kid. I grew up a tom-boy and didn't mind that I had a little extra mass to tackle the kids I was playing football against. When I hit high school, I lost a big amount of weight in an unhealthy way. So today, I would fall in the "fat kid mind, thinish kid body" catagory. I love all things food! I love to cook, I love to eat, I love to drink, and I love to try new foods. Sweets are my biggest downfall. I could eat a dozen doughnuts right now if you asked me to. Dan and I will be sharing our "tricks of the trade" in how to tackle being a fat kid. Also, if you love or have ever loved a fat kid, this blog may shed some light on their thoughts and habits. If you have anything you would like for us to discuss or shed light on, we would be more than willing to offer our humble opinions. We always enjoy tasty, tasty research. So feel free to comment and stump us if you dare. Forks UP! -Dan and Shannon, Fat Kids in Residence
