Page 05. --- Black smoke billowed high over the Arab quarter of Jenin, Palestine, where, as shown, above, English troops dynamited over 100 Arab houses. With terrorism spawned by Arab-Jewish animosity continuing to produce many casualties, the drastic measure was partly in retaliation for the murder of Great Britain’s Assistant District Commissioner Moffatt of Jenin, and partly to provide patrol lanes between the tightly packed buildings.
