So, I electrocuted Lydia.
It turns out that she actually isn't the essential follower that I've always believed her to be. I killed my Housecarl with a lightening rune...thrice.

I was traveling with a student of Winterhold and much to my surprise, if they die by your hand and you're in the middle of doing quests for Winterhold, they'll tell you that you've been suspended from the college and the quests will be broken.
Dumped them, hired the Mage from Riften (Marcurio) and two hours later BAM, married. ❤️ Aw, love.
