a soft sigh then came from Mio as she put down the book and looked up, not noticing that there was a visitor in her midst. 

"W-When did you come here?! I'm sorry that I didn't notice you sooner!.. please forgive me while I go get something for your troubles!" The bassist took a piece of cake and a fork, in which they were sitting on top of a small plate and handed it to the newcomer standing at the doorway.
