You seriously have to put in effort for a forest not to grow. These anattos growing is just one example of the birds constantly at work. Counted over 50 trees growing on this one property that I didn’t plant myself. A lot of people think that the production of charcoal is the main reason for deforestation but, from my observations, it is actually a bi-product of clear cutting for farming. The constant tilling of the land every season also inhibits any seeds from ever having a chance of growing.
