This is a super open request for my sector 4 civilian (his blurb is here). Since he is where he is, he doesn’t necessarily make a ton of cash, and as a result he needs a little help with paying rent each month.
My idea was that the residents of this crappy apartment were a bit diverse in terms of allegiance: one’s in the revolution, completely dedicated to the cause and motivated to do some good in this world (though their reasons could be completely different. it’s really open). Another is heavily involved in the black market, doing whatever they can to scrape by (or maybe they just enjoy the thrill of it. again this is totally open!!). The third is a bit mysterious -- not much is known about her, other than the fact that she disappears for days on end and never gives much more than a passing scowl (but she consistently pays her rent, so). Tbh the others probably have a betting pool going to see who can guess what she actually does for a living, ranging from the mundane to the outlandish.
Lucas is nothing but a plain civilian, so he’s not really involved with any outside groups. However, I’m really hoping one of the roommates will kind of pull him into participating in their activities (illegal or otherwise, bonus points if it’s both roommates pulling him in opposite directions lmao). He’s really not the type to be part of ~something bigger~ so literally forcing him into something he doesn’t want to do (like small favors or... idk, literally anything) would be pretty satisfying on my end. Also things could backfire spectacularly, which would always be amusing tbh.
Anyway, this could go one of a few ways.
1. This group (minus the mysterious lady) are really good friends. They hang out all the time when they aren’t at work, complain about the state of the world over a nice alcoholic drink, and do whatever other wacky things you can think of. The only drawback is that they don’t know each others’ respective allegiances or what they get up to in their spare time. Having it come to light later on could drive a wedge between their little group, dredge up feelings of mistrust, feelings of unease and clashes of morality, and finally end up distancing everyone. etc etc.
2. Allegiances are known, which brings some tension to the apartment from the get go. Having a revolutionist or a black marketeer in the house could put all their safety at risk, or maybe just bring about some trust issues. idk. Regardless of these feelings, they have to stick together because it’s the only way they can afford this place. Whether or not they eventually get along would be up to whoever takes a spot here!
3. They all just flat out hate each other from the very beginning. Constantly at each others’ throats, making passive aggressive (or not so passive) comments when they pass each other in the kitchen, pulling mean pranks on each other out of spite. Really ridiculous and petty arguments that last into the wee hours of the morning all because someone left an empty carton in the fridge. Unfortunately, despite their feelings toward each other, they don’t really have the option to go anywhere else. Their income is too low so their only choice is to grimace grin and bear it. Again, whether or not they eventually get along (or not!!) or become weirdly protective over one another or literally w/e else would be up to anyone who takes up a slot for this.
needed spots:
name / revolutionist / age / powered or not / occupation / open face
name / black marketeer / age / powered or not / occupation / open face
lucas shaw / civilian / 33 / powerless / janitor / jay baruchel
milena kotwicz / civilian / 36 / umbrakinesis / occupation / stana katic
So like I said this ad is completely open. I am absolutely down for any one of these plots, or even a mishmash of them. Whatever you want to do!! Life in sector 4 is hard, so Lucas and Milena just need their roommates to get by. :>
