Hey I heard you're not getting many asks. So um, I like your art on the Stanley Parable, the narrator's pretty cool. So I was wondering what's your interpretation on the sad ending in Stanley Parable, you know, the one with the credits?
i never really thought in depth about this ending much, because when crafting my own background lore for it, i disregarded a lot of the meta-narrative parts specifically citing the player. Going back to it, I actually had a thought
rather than it be the Narrator realizing that Stanley is being controlled by a player, it’s him actually realizing that the person making his decisions is “not stanley”, not the player, just someone who isnt Stanley. For this ending, i like the idea of someone taking control of Stanley. Not explicitly stated obviously, but he becomes a vessel for the in-narrative prompter of his actions.
Personally, I’d like to think its the Curator. Otherwise known as the “female narrator”. I interpret her as a potentially insidious figure
