       exhaustion  settles  heavily  on  kale’s  whole  entire  face.    he  just  walks  in,   drops  the  hat  he  was  wearing    [  he’ll  pick  it  up  later  ]     &  almost  misses  the  luxurious  site  of  cecilia  lounging  on  the  couch.    in  his  shirt.     hazel  eyes  blink,   reaching  up  to  just  shrug  off  his  jacket  &  leave  that  too.    his  head  tilts.    the  smile  on  his  lips  is  barely  there --     but  he  doesn’t  want  to  think  about  what  just  happened  on  the  battlefield.    the  memories  he  was  subjected  to.     he’d  rather  be  in  this  moment.   he  looks  exactly  like  a  man  that  finds  solace  in  worshiping  his  girl.

     “We’re all looking for that special someone, Miss.” She had barely registered on his radar, he knew this dance off-by-heart. Jimmy had assumed cop when she first came through the door, and when Jimmy smelled cop he shut down. “Can’t help you without my lawyer present.” He knew where the man she was looking for was, but revealing that he was at the bottom of the Hudson was not the best tactical move. “I just can’t figure out why you guys think it’s alright to swan on in here every time some fuck-head skips town.”

it  isn’t  often  brody  flies  commercial  but  when  he  does  ,  the  male  opts  for  a  first  class  ticket  .  once  his  luggage  is  secured  in  the  overhead  compartment  he  relaxes  in  the  spacious  seat  ,  a  finger  raising  to  catch  one  of  the  flight  attendants  on  their  way  by  .  “  whiskey  neat  when  you  get  a  chance  .  ”  a  charming  smile  as  always  ,  brody  looks  beside  him  to  see  who  sits  opposite  the  aisle  .  he  gives  a  nod  of  hello  ,  not  with  the  intention  of  a  long  conversation  but  the  flight  itself  is  a  long  one  so  why  not  make  it  pleasant  .  “  you  flying  for  business  or  pleasure  ?  ”
