Sometimes when companies want you to promo them, they’ll reach out with incentive to get you to partner up. I occasionally get offers to “every time you reblog one of our posts to your audience we’ll give you $50″, except they don’t want me to disclose that they’re sponsored posts, which is sketchy af. What they do want is for their blog to look like a real person who just happens to get a lot of clicks from the “cool things they find online”. Which I am not down with. At all.
Someone wants to collab with me it needs to be legit and above board, and also not a garbage product I’d rather gnaw my own arm off than support.
I think the funniest one was one of those reusable straw companies offering to send me out a package of their foldable straws in exchange for a favorable review, like buddy, do me a quick favor and rearrange these words: wrong tree up barking.
