MERCH MERCH MERCH!!
HI. HELLO. Welcome to a project that has been three years in the making.
That ^^^ is not an exaggeration. When I came to the Field in 2013 there was a big question mark about how to have merchandise that could a.) give back to Brain Scoop fan artists, and b.) support The Brain Scoop as a production. This was neither easy nor straightforward because of all sorts of legal reasons (e.g. the Field’s gift shops are not owned by the Field.. they are owned/managed by a contracted company... and I don’t own TBS.. but other gift shop-y things sold by the Field support all of the science, not just one program of the science... etc etc).
But I wanted it to happen, so I went through all of the channels and helped create all of the licensing and permissions in order to do so. Today, I am so so happy and relieved to finally announce we are selling merchandise with DFTBA.com! I cannot emphasize enough how helpful and patient they were to work with and were supportive through many delays and special arrangements. THANK YOU DFTBA.
Here are the first three items in the store, hopefully with many more to come. The sticker was designed by longtime fan Henning, and the poster by Lova Delfin. The shirt was inspired by Jim’s design from the Death Rocks episode, and refined by Brain Scoop editor/cameraman Sheheryar Ahsan.
If you’re an artist interested in working with us, tag your work with #thebrainscoop and/or shoot me an email! thebrainscoop(at)gmail(dot)com!
AND CHECK OUT OUR STORE ON DFTBA.COM!! AYADYFYAYYAYAYYAYYYYAAAAAY!
One more note - the old merchandise (e.g. ‘Everything Is Dead’ shirts, Soon Raccoon tattoos) will not be for sale on DFTBA.com this time around, but if there is high enough demand we’ll bring the designs back.
