 ALL  SHE  CAN  TASTE  IS  THE  BITTER  COPPER  FLAVOR  OF  BLOOD.  it  churns  her  stomach  because  she  knows,  even  before  the  trainer  speaks  to  her,  that  it  isn't  good.  now  that  the  adrenaline  has  worn  off  she  can  feel  the  pain  radiating  in  her  head  with  every  beat  of  her  heart.  it's  like  someone's  setting  off  explosives  in  her  skull.  then  the  words  cement  her  fears:  concussion.  fracture.  medical  clearance.  in  a  beat  all  the  FIGHT  is  sucked  from  her  and  her  fingers  grip  the  crisp  white  leather  of  the  women's  title  belt  even  tighter  because  it  feels  like  it's  already  slipping  away.  but  she  nods  as  he  speaks  like  an  idiot  bobble-head  because  she  can't  bring  herself  to  do  anything  else.  afraid  that  if  she  opens  her  mouth  she'll  scream.  then  he's  gone.  she's  left  in  the  silent  trainer's  office,  sat  on  that  table,  staring  at  her  boots  and  her  blood  stained  t-shirt  with  her  hand  gripping  an  ice  pack  so  hard  her  knuckles  are  snow  white.  tears  prick  the  back  of  her  eyes  and  she  can't  tell  whether  they're  tears  of  pain  or  frustration  but  they  STING  so  fierce  that  her  eyes  are  red-rimmed  when  the  door  opens  again  and  he  rushes  in.  " i'm  fine... "  she  gets  out,  her  voice  robotic  and  tense  and  so  far  from  fine  she  doesn't  know  why  she  bothered  saying  it.  she  tries  it  again  but  the  words  get  lodged  in  her  throat  and  she  bites  her  lip  to  keep  back  that  scream.  the  ice  pack  flies  out  of  her  hand  and  hits  the  wall  with  a  loud  BANG.  she's  not  fine.

It was certainly not what the NXT Champion would expect to wake up to. The young Welsh superstar seemingly freaking out because they must’ve gotten married last night. At least that’s what they assumed the rings on their fingers meant. It was a long night filled with plenty of alcohol. The chances of him remembering anything that went on was slim-to-none at this point. “Would you shut up!?” he snapped at her as he held his palm against his head. The pounding headache which he was feeling only got worse the louder things became and more stressed he’d feel at this given moment. It was a silver little band wrapped around his ring finger. Not certainly his style. Tommaso obviously preferred gold given the championship title which he proudly displayed on the hotel room dresser. “I think you should be thankful that I even decided to marry you - drunken state or not. You should feel blessed, Tegan. How many people can say they are married to the greatest? Only one person and that’s you so would you please calm the heck down.”

“I’m not too tired yet,” the male would come to admit. It was a little lie since he was tired but he couldn’t get his mind to shut off after everything that transpired on the previous edition of Smackdown Live. Daniel earned himself a WWE Championship match but he let his emotions get the best of him, fell into the trap laid by the Phenomenal One, and he blew it. Everything which he worked so hard for was thrown out the window because he couldn’t wait another few days for the match to happen. He sat alone in the chair which was offered by the hotel room. A lamp was turned on which still kept the room dark enough for her to sleep but bright enough so that he wasn’t sitting there in the pitch black of the night. “I think I might go take a walk. See if that can make me anymore tired.” And it was a chance to think things over. Figure out the next move in his career.

 becky  never  realized  how  much  she  missed  being  home  with  her  husband  until  they  got  the  chance.  there  was  always  a  part  of  her  that  missed  finn  desperately  when  they  were  on  the  road  but  her  brain  was  always  occupied;  she  kept  moving,  kept  traveling,  kept  training.  there  was  always  the  next  ten  steps  to  look  ahead.  it  wasn’t  until  she  was  back  home  that  she  realized  that  dull  ache  in  her  chest  was  because  she  missed  THIS.  she  missed  him.  and  despite  his  threats  tonight,  she  could  see  the  smile  that  threatened  to  undermined  his  entire  ultimatum.  she  grinned  back  at  him  for  a  moment  before  she  settled  herself  and  sighed,  seeming  to  resign  herself  to  a  pun-less  existence  for  the  night.  " alright,  alright… “  she  coincided,  cozying  up  against  him,  taking  in  his  warmth,  his  smell,  his  presence,  everything  that  felt  like  home  to  her.  ” you’re  right,  bed  puns  can  be  really  SHEET-Y. “
