"Hey, no. You need company."
She can't argue with that, really. It is nice having someone there; it'd been far too quiet last night.
"Thanks."

"Maybe. To those that.. deserve it. Like.. Udina." There's a distinct snarl across Alice's lips; if it was one person she never liked, it was him. And look where he had wound up..
It had been shoot or be shot, and she chose the former.

Luz y Sombra | Lucy & Ted | Wild West AU
Lucy’s lost count of how many times she’s seen the inside of this very cell; the cot that’s needed replacing for a good few years, the window that looks out onto nothing but dirt and more dirt, the bucket she’s used so many times that she’s labelled it as her own and of course, the on-looking stare of the sheriff.
It’s odd to a lot the town’s people to know that they actually get on (i.e. Lucy is tolerated) outside of Lucy getting arrested for this or that and the sheriff having to be professional. Which he’s good at. Too good, Lucy might argue; he doesn’t cut corners for friends.
It had been her constant arrests that had brought them closer, given Lucy time to wear down his walls and attempt to get to know him. There’s still a lot that she doesn’t know, obviously, but what she does is that while on the job, he’s guarded, stubborn, and unappreciative of being hit on (which had been worth a shot).
“Teddy, c’mon,” she says, leaning up upon the inside of the bars. The title of Sheriff had been dropped in Lucy’s mind a long time ago. “We both know how this works; y’gon’ keep me here all day t’keep me outta trouble, y’gon’ make me wait f’somebody t’come bail me out, when they do y’gon let me go, and then I’mma see y’again in like two days.” She sighs. “Look, I got the money t’bail myself out, I just gotta go get it.”
❝ How much of that did you see? ❞

She’s totally just sat next to him, leaning back against him. “If you don’t wake up, I’m gonna start getting really loud—”
Apparently, noise is necessary-- even if he does look like he's having a particularly good dream.
detomalley replied to your post: "—It’s way too quiet in this house."
"Better than the Chatterlys’. Which is currently way too loud."
"Oh I'm sure. But when it's quiet in this house that usually means either my husband or my son is up to something."
