Oh? That definitely wasn’t something she expected to come from Alphen’s lips of all people. The instant she met him, he gave the impression of being a rather innocent and, at times, clueless man. It seemed like her initial judgement was wrong, however, if he was able to say something like that without an ounce of embarrassment. 

If he was aware of the meaning of his own words, that is.

“ Maybe what I want is for you to notice me. ” A flirty line with a tinge of tease in it, a weapon she used often. Perhaps even as often as her staff in battles. “ What would you do then, Alphen? ” 

As much as she had the urge to call him ‘boy’ as she did with Edge, she somehow liked the way the other’s name rolled off her tongue. Alphen. Huh. This man sure was an interesting one. She would very much like to tease him more and see what kind of reactions he has.

Dohalim sets a hand beneath his chin, and cants his head just so. It was rather curious a situation, this, for the reason it had come up was unknown to him. He had simply overheard bits and pieces. Perhaps he should investigate this further, as opposed to standing idly by.

☆ Constellations arise deep into the night these days. At first the martial artist had thought it her pure imagination, too many days yearning for those nights they spent in the canyons looking with a large telescope, sound of beating drums in their rhythm to distract from oncoming cold. It was not until the third day of restless slumber that she decided to take long walk through empty city, the ruins and dry ground a musty pathway leading to the only structure left for miles on end. 

There were stars, crystalline in their glimmer as guidance of light to her momentary reprieve. She had thought the grey clouds that surrounded the area would maintain forever, considering how much destruction the mako suction had caused to the land. Even after years, life was no more around the ruins.

All save for one place. 

Stirring wind made sweet melody to the chimes in altar’s back. When Tifa knelt down to tend to those flowers, moist dirt wettened her bare knees. And when she tugged work gloves against their edges, it felt rough along her wrist’s skin. Too large for her, but big enough that it would fit anyone who may come by and care for the garden; the church was a community effort now, after all. She loved to come here in the early afternoon before bar hours, but here deep into the night was a strange phenomenon all its own. To sit and merely raise chin to look at the stars from hole in ceiling. How grand. 

Yet the rusted doors made large moan echoing across this church, and she quickly turned cheek to stare at what may be a passerby looking for shelter. “Is someone there?”

|| 鈴 || :: traveling through dimensional rifts had always been unpredictable when it comes to how and where you would find yourself upon exit. not a single travel would be the same, so when the DRAGONESS could see the light at the end of the portal itself, she was bracing herself for the worst.

                and this was, certainly, one of THE WORST RIFT OPENING she had in a while.

                quite a few feet upwards into the sky was where the SEIRYUU found herself being pushed out, and gravity doing its rightful duty in pulling her downwards without much of a chance for her to utilize her POWER or spreading her wings. a figure of SOMEONE down below was what had her heart drop.

                “ LOOK OUT — !! ” was all she managed to get out as she was free-falling down to the ground. hand pushing vertically and a gust of wind appeared just at the last second to cushion that fall but only BARELY, especially when she was literally falling onto this stranger. AIR was knocked out of her lungs, followed by the hay going everywhere as her form lay on top of this unlucky (?) person.

                groaning, she shook her head free of the hay, some of it simply floating in the air as a hand rubbed the back of her neck, head lowered apologetically towards the other.

                “ ... uh ... sorry. are you okay ? ”

─「美沙夜」─  the sunlight streaming through the fluttering curtain reflected upon the CHESSBOARD sat atop a wooden desk. glass pieces were scattered about upon the BOARD itself, a total of seven pieces counting the ones being discarded aside. on the glassy surface itself stood FIVE individual designed. slender digits moved swiftly to grab the one resembling a bow-user before CARELESSLY tossing it aside in a cluttering sound echoed in the quiet room. crimson optics then spared one last glance at the board, now with four pieces left before spinning on her heels and headed for the door.

                BLACK WOLVES sleeping within the living room sprung to action the moment her presence was made known, hand placed itself atop one’s head, weaving through the dark fur before a jacket was put upon her form. the CHERUBIM lifted her head, staring out the window as her heels clicked against the floor. three wolves loyally followed behind her, surrounding the second master protectively as the silence was broken by her own words, speaking to an unseen figure within the room itself.

                “ i’m going to take them for a walk, and you’re coming with me. ”

“Excuse me - You wouldn’t happen to know which direction is south, would you?”

It was a ridiculous question, Sera knew, and just asking it colored her cheeks a pale shade of pink. But with the sun set and the stars above obscured by occasional cloud cover, combined with a lack of decent sleep and the constant cries of the infant in her arms, it was all she could do to remember what day of the week it was, never mind which way to her destination. Travel was harder these days... A fate she’d chosen for herself, and would blame nobody else for.

“I got a bit turned around earlier and now I’m just a bit lost...” It wasn’t completely a lie, at the very least, and she could take comfort in at least that much.

“Hey, you!” she stomped towards the young man who was minding his business, sitting in a corner of the restaurant to eat. Edea towers (as her height can impose) over the other. “Did you or did you not order the last beef meal?” she can see the dish on the young man’s table but she had to inquire for dramatic purposes. “What else am I suppose to eat now!?” which is not his problem. She says this but her table is already full with different types of food.
