Happy Disability Pride month, y'all. Since comics are kinda my schtick here at this point, lemme bless you with some pics of Kat Silverberg, a Black disabled Jewish woman with a heart of gold. She's a lesbian in a relationship with a trans alien princess -The term doesn't translate exactly, but close enough- and she's not above jumping into the fray to fight for her city, people or girlfriend.
She lost her leg after a car crash (Where she met Superman briefly), but didn't let it stop her from hobbies like rock climbing.
You can learn more about Kat, Taylor (The previously-mentioned alien girlfriend) and their ass-kicking adventures in Metropolis' A-Town in Galaxy: The Prettiest Star and Galaxy: As the World Falls Down, as well as Jadzia Axelrod's Hawkgirl mini-series and pretty much every Pride comic they decide needs a lil trans rep. Prettiest Star was the first comic to make me cry and is seeing a reprint soon without the artist (Vash Taylor) having their deadname on the cover. The art is drop-dead gorgeous, crammed with as many pride flag color schemes as you can think of, and the characters are wonderful. Sold wherever you get your literary dyke/tranny needs met!
