𝙰 𝙼𝚒𝚍𝚠𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚗 𝙰𝚍𝚟𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎
Reese headed back out to the land of snow and trees for winter break, trekking throughout the region with his family and some new additions to the Lowrey clan! Task 13 @gallaghertasks
Arlington, Virginia (12/23 - morning of 12/24):
Reese got a hotel for the night of the 23rd right near the airport to make sure he didn’t get stuck in any traffic before his early morning flight. He enjoyed a night full of room service chicken fingers and fries while watching Ghost Hunters and Mythbusters reruns..
Duluth, Minnesota (midday 12/24-12/29):
Back home! Reese was thrilled to spend time in his childhood home with his parents and brother. His small room decorated with old movie posters and cozy flannel sheets felt bigger than it ever had before, if only because it was his own space.
To his surprise, his parents adopted not one but two new dogs! Boone and Clark (named after explorers because of course they are) are two Alaskan Malamute puppies, which means they’re already giant. Reese is convinced they’re his parents’ replacement for him and Jordan, but he doesn’t mind one bit.
Traditions are key in the Lowrey family, so Christmas was spent at his Uncle’s house with his cousins and grandparents, everyone dogpiling in around the table and spending the night laughing and celebrating.
Lutsen Mountains, Minnesota (12/30-1/1):
A few hours from Duluth lies the Lutsen Mountains, a mountain area surrounded by lush forests and windy rivers. Nestled among the trees is a cabin style home - his family’s vacation home.
In the summers they head up for camping and rafting, and in the winter for skiing, snowshoeing, and tubing.
The clear skies and lack of light pollution make the perfect backdrop for starry winter skies and of course - New Year’s fireworks! Reese wouldn’t want to welcome in 2021 any other way.
Madison, Wisconsin (1/2-1/3):
After graduation, Jordan moved out to Madison to take advantage of the burgeoning tech and job scene. He invited his brother out to his apartment for a night to explore the city (and to take advantage of a better flight time back!).
So Reese explored the city, drinking beers and getting his fill of cheese curds as he got to play tourist for a day.
