In Devision’s original incarnation, he was 17 and part of a mixed group of Autobots and former ‘Cons. The group included: Gear-Thrust, Hydraul, McCrane (a former constructicon who was alone after the rest of his team died), Blacklight and Darklight (femme seeker twins) and Devision.
Dev was very young when he joined the ‘Cons. Depending on the situation, he would have been anywhere from eleven to seventeen when he first joined.
Dev is only the truest of Decepticons in the sense that he supports equality for all mecha, and feels everyone should be able to follow their dreams (provided their dreams don’t hurt others).
Dev may have aligned with the Decepticons, but that doesn’t mean he identifies as such. Or wants to be a part of their movement.
Dev doesn’t follow/go for the tyranny of the Decepticons. If anything, he stands for the True decepticon cause... the one they started with... that of seeking equality for all, and not limiting mecha and their functio by their type/frame type, etc... what got Megatron and Soundwave and others started but then became perverted into a tyranical quest for domination and destruction...
Dev is into: animals, plants (flowers especially), making waxes/perfumes, making jewelry, collecting gemstones, collecting pets, collecting music, making energon goodies, skydancing, dancing, singing, romance, movies, tv shows, animation/anime, sculpting, painting, and various other crafting... he’s an artist, not a fighter. He’s a pacifist. Unless pushed too far or defending loved ones.
