There are probably a lot of romance tropes that could apply to them because they are very Cheesy, but tbh I wanted to talk about something else with them that I felt like I couldn’t really find a trope for. First, I love that they are both youngests in their families (even though Anna only has one older sibling and even still she mostly grew up feeling like an “only”) and going through similar things with learning how to be their own person (and learning how to “adult...” the fact that their meetcute was just being really bad at cooking is so funny to me lol). 

Another thing I really enjoy about Devanna is how they are both very much people pleasers, and they just want to make people happy, and sometimes that affects their relationship. I think that’s the really interesting thing about Devanna: if their relationship existed in a vacuum (or a DREAM hehe) maybe just maybe things would be perfect! Maybe they wouldn’t have any stresses or any fights or any issues! But unfortunately that is not how their lives work, or anyone’s lives, probably. I kind of see them as a Bingley/Jane type couple (to invoke P&P hehe... fitting) where they are SUPER into each other, but the external stresses of their lives and their families can put their relationship under pressure sometimes.

But at the end of the day, they really really care for each other and I know they want to make it work. And I think they are very sweet and very obnoxious and a bit cringe but in the best way possible. Happy anniversary devanna <33333

A hug from the groom at the end of a program defines all the emotions he is going thru. Expectedly and rightfully so, the primary focus of the festivities is on a groom's significant other. Thru wedding week he lives with the stress of handling multiple issues behind the scenes with multiple personalities and with all kinds of results. This hug at the end of the night represents a lot of things but most importantly: It represents relief. The program is done, the party is now going to start and his professional MC helped him get thru it. Salute to all the groom's who quietly make dreams come true.
