Weekend #devclub. #soupfilm • September 2017 Home (at Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei)

Film (Bulk-rolled #IlfordHP5) shot since June- 48 rolls that call for a massive #DevClub session this week. Looking forward to the contact prints- I don't like sitting on my film, as I need to see what I'm doing as soon as I can. This helps my edit because the feeling from shooting is still fresh. I shoot my life, so it would be both dishonest and counter-productive to try and find objectivity in the images- personal photography should reflect the person doing the photography, not ideas or expectations about how we're told pictures ought to look. I think more than a real genuine interest in the joy of negative editing my cat is more interested in the novelty of having the light table out. Or maybe she’s simply concerned that my attention is directed towards something other than her for more than five minutes.
