Mind map 3 potential ideas

Using a mind map, I have started to explore how I could form a project from 3 of my initial ideas. I chose Ideas that I think would have the most potential to create a well-rounded project. I looked at possible research areas and outcomes I could create. This has shown me that each idea will be possible however the Planner and dancing idea has more freedom for the outcome.

To decide which idea I will be using I will refer back to the LOs. This will make sure my idea with fit the brief.

One of our dearest clients/patrons asked me to design two complimentary side tables to go with her #sculpturalconsole that we made and delivered early last year. Dot//Line//Shape

I feel that a strong theme this track reflects is motion.  When I think of motion in music, I think about vibration, sound waves, blurred effects.  I was keen to try and develop my dot/line/shape work to try and reflect these themes.

Here I used white chalk on black card and smudged to create a blurred effect.

I used acrylic paint and a pencil rubber to create this circle pattern and was one of my original works from a previous project. I decided to take this method and try different compositions.

I used the same technique here and tried to re-create volume levels.  I decided to overlay a plain piece of paper on top, the result is the second image which shows the dots blurring.  I really liked how this turned out and felt it captured the motion element I was looking for.

I tried more playful shapes to convey movement, again I overlaid with plain paper to create an additional blurred version of each print

I think the acrylic paint worked well to capture motion in each of these experiments whilst also making them look quite graphic.

2 minute film Ideas

Daydream

A person starts their daily life routine when suddently they get lost in a daydream about their past and what might happen in the future. Once in a while they are brought back to the present and forget what they were doing before the daydream episode, making them forgetting to do tasks.

Notebook

(Version 1) Main character: Notebook

A timetravel notebook finds a girl and decides to help her throughout her lifetime. It visits her when she is young, a pre-adult and old, helping her and guiding her. There is no order of when it visits her because when the girl writes on it, the notebook keeps and hides her writtings and shows her younger or older self what she needs to read in that moment. Everything that it shows are her writings.

(Version 2) Main character: Girl

A little girl finds an old notebook with some writtings in it. There are many gaps and blank pages so she tries to write something but as soon as she writes it disappears. The little girl finds it funny and writes random things. After some days the notebook disappears and she forgets about it. The notebook comes back years later when the girls is in need of guidance. She reads some advice from the notebook that help her and writes some things that are changing her and what is happening. Then the notebooks disappears again. When she is older the notebook returns and she writes everything that helped her/advices throughout her years, and those writtings are the ones that helped her in the past.

Cepia Margaret Yolanda Kismark (developing) I'm taking a break from the Ben 10 Cupcake Series for a bit to work on a character that's been in my mind for far too long. Cepia here's meant to be based on a cuttlefish, but I decided to make her a witch to fit the color squid's usual head shape. Thus, here she is, as well as one of her eyes.
