Devgudis of Chhattisgarh📍 There are the stills of sacred groves, regionally known as Devgudi, of gram panchayat Gamavada, district Dantewada. This is a unique initiative taken by the district administration to preserve the religious and cultural tradition in the rural communities. These devgudis are also used as a centre to promote behaviour change(especially in remote naxal affected panchayats) through various means such as nukkad nataks in local languages. These have been beautifully painted and carved by the local artisans and craftsmen. IT IS USUALLY BELIEVED THAT THE DEITIES ENSURE THE PROTECTION AND PROSPERITY OF THE LAND AND ITS PEOPLE.
