You have changed my destiny for rags,

And turned my home to ashes.

But I have stood.

You have dragged me down with lies,

And filled me with evil sights.

But I have withstood.

You have tricked me, destroyed me, O devil,

And taken from me all I own.

But I am victorious.

For in the sight of my misfortune,

In the breadth of my torture,

In the age of my great sorrow,
