I really fucked up this time man; I knew for a fact that something would be gunning for my DA account in one way or another but never thought that it would be ME and my idiocy that would be my undoing.

I do hope I do get my account back from those hackers though. If not, I may either have to leave DA as @masonicon's been trying to encourage me to or consider making a new account on there and start all over from scratch.

Luckily for me a lot of my art and fanfics, not all, but alot, had been on my Tumblr blogs, FF.Net, Wattpad, Pixiv, Crypt Drive, AO3, and to some extent Pillowfort and my folders for a good number of years so I can just repost those on there if it comes down to it. I've been meaning to clean out some of my outdated art I don't wanna look at anyways.

As well as some of my OC profiles and drawings, those are the most important. Don't worry about the NSF_Ws though, they're also in my folders and Pixiv, they're safe.

Still, it's sucks to lose 11 years worth of progress, it's a shitty site sure but it was like a second home to me.

LOOOL

So "Shadow and Light" is a SONG!

Proof thoses scammers don't even really read your work. They just see a litterature work, take the title and lick your boots in hope they can scam. (I've got like a hundred of similar messages in a month, with my actual stories titles, but I never accepted, I can recognize a scam when I see one)

That's simple, anyone sending me something about a comic from now on while simply be immediately marked as spam and blocked.

Same with NTF, by the way.

YOOOOOOOOO! I GOT MY DA ACCOUNT BACK!

Good news everyone, DA Staff finally responded after 8 days of waiting and told me they restored my email address(had to change my password 'cause the old one got compromised, obviously). And thankfully there's was no damage done to my account or my DMs, the scammer probably abandoned it after I told him I don't have PayPal.

Christ almighty after 10 days of suffering, I'm finally back! I'm never answering to another scam attempt like that again.....The site's still pretty crappy for handling scammers though.

I think I screwed the pooch on my DA account.

I don't want you guys to panic for me, but I think I messed up, not over a troll or anything, but I really screwed the pooch this time.

You know how I'm not supposed to talk to scammers on DA?

Well I think I fell for a DA user who's account was hacked, they claimed that they reported my account thinking it was spam, they told me to do this and that to save it from suspension(or worse) and now I can't get back on DA after talking to someone on Discord even though I stopped using it.

Here's a user on Tumblr who went through something similar last year(OP recovered her account BTW) to give you an idea of what happened:

So yeah, long story short, I panicked and gave a hacker my account in an effort to protect said account from suspension. I've already reported to support and now I'm waiting for a reply from DA staff.

9 days, it's been 9 days since my DA account got hacked. Why is no one from DA responding?

How long is this going to take!?

It's been a week since I got hacked and I haven't heard anything from staff in 3 days! I need my DA account back right now! And I mean now! For all you know it's already messaging strangers on DA to do the same scam like it did to me! Or worse: it's scrapping my art for GenAI! And y'all know how much I hate GenAI!

Another hacked DA account tried to pull the same "Oh no I reported your account by accident, here talk to this guy on Discord to fix it" spiel even though the notes by Staff said don't talk to anyone outside of DA, Discord included.

I called him out on it, reported his account as comprised, and blocked him. The hacked account's name is szemi, I suggest you report it as comprised to.
