I dunno, I don't really have characters that are very toxic quadrant-wise. Xrumon and Ullane would have been very toxic but wisely neither pursued it.

Even Platar could be surprisingly normal about romance. If he did romance. There's very little to no time for it.

It’s not the first time Deviex has made friends (unknowingly) with a mutant. Absolute lunatics, the lot of them, intentionally hanging around someone who would dissect them in a heartbeat if he was lucid enough to put two and two together

Deviex strikes me as a "The Doctor's Wife" kind of person. Desperately trying everything to save a quadrant who's obviously gone and only alive on technicality

They're only obviously gone if you're a complete amateur. Real Docterrors never quit the grind, they hustle nonstop, they freeze their quadrants in a cryogenic tube and don a spandex outfit to commit crimes until they can find a cure. He would definitely do everything to keep a quadrant away from clinical death. Even brain death is curable if you poke it the right way.

Deviex’s “instability” is a result of his caste’s natural tendency towards violence/instability (at least that’s what I headcanon as being the case) and constant barrages of allergy attacks (not helped by a weakened immune system) and subsequent allergy medication

He really is trying his best to hold himself together, but ‘trying his best’ can’t compete with improper medication and an unfortunate compulsion for rash actions.

When he was younger, he was much more stable. Not exactly friendly, but at least tolerant enough to hang out with Xrumon and co., with the clear head to know when to hold himself in restraint.

It is absolutely for the best that subjugglators have not successfully inducted him (partly due to how much makeup irritates his skin) because he should absolutely not be allowed to embrace the typical views of most mirthful messiah followers
