Ramble about my mental health, TLDR

This is for me to read later on, you don’t have to read.

So last night I was sitting at my desk for the first time and trying to fix my game, which I think I fixed after 3 days. But my son was downstairs playing and I thought to myself. I don’t ever want to not hear him laughing and playing. I closed my eyes and saw the devil. Then I opened my eyes and said WTF. I looked outside and saw the devil. He was looking up and smiling at me. That’s when I knew I was goin completely nuts. I texted my mom cause she’s a counselor for a prison and I usually don’t like when she uses her counselor-ness on me. But I needed it. Then I tried to call crisis services but my phone is off. I can’t afford it, it’s 486 bucks to turn it back on and my hours were cut so I definitely can’t afford it. I can’t even doordash because my phone is off. I looked outside again and he was still there. It wasn’t a real person that my mind was warping. I knew he wasn’t real. I knew it was a hallucination. I messaged my pastors on facebook because we’re in a group chat because they babysit my son when I work. My pastor, the wife, came over and we talked and I kept closing my eyes for a few seconds to keep checking to see if the devil was there. He was for a bit. But it went away after like 40 minutes of seeing him. I realized I’ve been missing meds for a little bit. Maybe that is why I’ve been seeing evil things more but even when I wasn’t missing meds, it was still the same amount of hallucinations. They just weren’t as scary as this. I don’t know what to do. I guess I’m posting this here to get it out of my mind. This blog is really a journal of my thoughts and emotions and creativity (sims content). This is my safe space.

You're going to call this bad and I'm looking too much into something, but hear me out:

Lucifer and Crowley, before the events of the story and before the whole war schpeel, had a fairly decent relationship. They were not an item, but they were at least friends.

Like, Lucifer, being the outcasted angel, most likely has a soft spot for lone wolves, for people who do their own thing without harming anyone else in the process, for people who just don't fit in so they, like I said previously, do their own thing, a square peg in a round whole situation.

People like Crowley, who is bad at being an angel, because he's too mischievous to be an angel, and bad at being a demon, because he causes his own misery and inconvenience more than does it for others.

Remember Lucifer's call to Crowley to give instructions? "Because you've earned it, Crowley, didn't you? What you did to the M25 was a stroke of demonic genius, darling."

When we see Lucifer later, he's terrifying, no niceties, no warmth, just the image of fear and eternal punishment befitting of his place in Hell.

So, with that in context, why is he so nice to Crowley when he has who we will learn is Adam? Why is he more supportive of Crowley? If this was the same entity we see later at the end of the series, the exchange would look more like this:

"You wanted a bigger role to fill because tempting the humans wasn't enough, Crawly. Well, you have asked, now accept what I've given you. Unless you have any objections?"

I don't know about you, but this exchange would be closer to what we get when we see Lucifer at the ending. Instead, we got the previous exchange, the one from the show.

And, yes, it might be Adam's interpretation of his real father and the devil in general, but the question still remains.

Why is Lucifer so warm when talking to Crowley? And why do we see these two interact and not see Lucifer talk to someone more high ranking like Hastur or Beezlebub? Granted, maybe he did, I haven't seen the show in a while and Hastur had to have gotten the orders to burn the records from somewhere, but, again, WHY is Lucifer, the leader of all Hell, talking to Crowley, Hell's black sheep?

Maybe that's the reason right there: because Crowley is the black sheep. He doesn't exactly fit in. Granted, he says he didn't mean to fall, but I can't exactly imagine Crowley being a very good angel, based on the standards we see of the angels in the show. True, he doesn't want to hurt anyone, but, if need be, he isn't beneath hurting someone or even killing them, regardless of if he causes it directly or not. As far as I can tell, it is not very angelic to give people REAL guns in a paint ball game, even if they all miraculously make it out alive.

He also seems to be more disconnected from the other demons and genuinely loves Earth, loves the people, loves the music, loves his Bentley, his plants(even if he won't admit it), loves alcohol(which I'll excuse because he's not represented as being a bad drunk/drinker. I don’t know if that makes sense, but bear with). He loves Earth and humanity, unlike the other angels and demons. Granted Aziraphale loves Earth and Humanity as well, all the same Crowley is just closer because he's a demon and already on the same ground, being in Hell.

All that said, if they did indeed have something of a friendship or kinship, what would it be like?

Well, for one, NOTHING WAS ROMANTIC. Nothing happened between the sheets, period. Yes, there were times they shared a bed. Yes, they slept together, but they did not 'sleep together.' For anyone still in doubt for what I mean, because 'sleeping together' is not just sleeping together and it bothers me that I have to dog myself a grave to explain a completely platonic relationship, here's what the average night looked like for them:

Because why not, Lucifer would have his own room while the other demons sleep in something like cots or bunkbeds, like they would all sleep in the same room. Lucifer, being the ruler of Hell, would ask for Crowley's presence, as he's good at fudging reports to get himself bumped up a few pegs.

Crowley, obviously, would comply and meet Lucifer in his room, the devil in his 'human' form and having some clean clothes to wear(I imagine demons don't have very clean clothes, even the high ranking ones). Crowley, cautious, would go behind a curtain or a screen and change while Lucifer points out that he HAS fresh clothes in the human world and can always wear those in Hell, as they're quite nice and comfortable, bit Crowley shrugs it off; they'll just get dirty and stolen, so he'd rather keep them away from Hell all together. The statement makes Lucifer laugh, saying Crowley always had a way of getting himself in and out of situations as the demon leaves the curtain or screen, clothed and fresh. 

Lucifer request Crowley sit beside him for a few minutes, to relax a little because even if someone caught on to all this, there’s nothing they can do about it because Crowley is crafty and Lucifer is the devil, so not even Beelzebub can do anything. Crowley’s glad for that because he’s not to keen on trying to explain to everyone that he’s bosom friends with the Devil himself so he doesn’t become Hastur’s new toy instead. Speaking of Hastur, Crowley is able to tell he’s still not impressed with the M25 thing, which is a bit disappointing because Crowley not only finds it funny, imagining people stuck because they got impatient and are mad at each other, and clever, given how it’s shaped and its meaning. 

The two lie down on the bed and Lucifer tells Crowley to not be hard on himself, as the idea was well executed and he saw the fruit of his work, which isn’t said for most demons. He’s also seen Earth since Day 1, so he has more stories to tell, which is what Lucifer wants the most: to know about Earth and what his son will be destroying come Dooms Day. Crowley fakes enthusiasm and Lucifer asks how he’s preparing for the war, as he’ll be on the frontlines, being fast and crafty, Hastur’s words more than his. And, even better news, Aziraphale, his nemesis, will be there, so the two can finally settle the score.

Crowley lies and says he’s just so excited to settle that score and he has a plan he’s borrowing from an OLD war that happened years ago between humans called a hit and run and plans to use that. 

Lucifer’s glad, but warns Crowley to not lie to him. Careful as he’s been, Lucifer is still the devil and information gets to him before it gets to Beezlebub, and he knows that whatever Aziraphale and Crowley have is not only treason, but it’s also a roll of the dice as there is a war coming up and that only means it’s a matter of time before the two have to kill each other.

That is the great plan, after all. 

Crowley reaffirms that they’re enemies and he looks forward to snuffing out Aziraphale’s light, but Lucifer only sighs that being with humans for so long might have rubbed off on him before warning Crowley to not get caught again, or he’ll literally have no choice but to either hand him over to Hastur or give him over to Heaven and an archangel; he could be used as Uriel’s punching bag, Michael’s SILENT carrier demon, Sandalphon’s tester for interrogations, or Gabriel’s assistant. 

Neither like that, so Crowley agrees to stay low, make his exchanges with Aziraphale more enemy-esque, if need be. Lucifer admits he could always try simply not being around or talking to Crowley, but knows that won’t happen as he likes him too much. 

With nothing else to talk about and the two tired, they go to sleep, lucifer holding Crowley because he doesn’t like sleeping alone and Crowley just letting it happen because it’s harmless and he like being held, sue him.

Yeah, this turned out to be longer than I intended, but I still hope you guys liked it because this is just a really interesting concept to me and Lucifer’s first lines of dialogue always intrigued me.
