For this I based Vincent purely in his DMC verse, that inherited a lot of canon parallels - he was part of the order and at some point tried to oppose vile experiments he discovered, that led to him being killed and then experimented on. The result was him turning into a hybrid, having a devil arm and possessing the ability of the Devil Trigger (in canon his shapeshifting forms are his Limit Breaks, but I left only Chaos in this verse). He reeeeealy hates Sparda and humans' obsession with him, and what partially was the cause for his current condition. So don't be surprised if at first he won't be thrilled to discover that you are of Sparda's origins and worst of all Vergil's spawn as well lmao Vincent has a few words of choice to say to your dad too or maybe he will shoot him first. But yeah, Nero's time in Order also won't help in the very beginning of their acquaintanceship, but if he will manage to draw parallels with his time having devil arm and Yamato too, I can see them bonding through mutual understanding of what and how it felt. The fear and confusion. 'Cause Vincent isn't someone who can be easily swayed by words or deeds, you need to show him that you are on the same wavelength, that there's understanding between you two. And he can grow to tolerate loud and irrepressible Nero, 'cause one buzzkill is enough.

The best familiar. The most capable and overall amazing birb you will ever meet. Being in his presence must be considered the utmost luck and blessing from above— But jokes aside, if it's not Vincent who is Sparda's babysitter, then it's definitely Griffon. This chicken will deny any attachment he developed towards especially V and Vergil, and then the others. He obv won't pass an opportunity to laugh at your misfortune or make a joke 'bout the situation you got self in, but you can't convince me that despite all the trouble he was dragged into, he didn't enjoy his time with the Co. and given opportunity will choose to remain. But I also wrote this before to our mutual friend, that despite his want to live, he comprehends that he was born from Vergil's nightmares and this is not how he wants to remain. Griffon and others did get attached and he didn't deny it, but THAT was not existence or reminder they wanted to be. Now I'm sad again.

NGL I genuinely sat here for like 30 min and thought who else on my active and archived lists I could potentially stuff in DMC verse. And I'm just a shrug emoji. Not 'cause there's lack of interest, but due to most of my muses being of v niche and limited themes/concepts. So unless we come up with an AU or verse outside our fandoms, I srsly at a loss of who else to offer, 'cause technically I can write literally any of my characters, the problem is setting/verse/circumstance. Especially if we want/plan a prolonged communication and not one-time thread/idea. 'Cause I could also offer Ais to you too or Flamebringer, or Camu, as they do seem like my most universal characters, aside from Vincent.

what is their favorite lego set?

ok i'm not a lego nerd so...i don't know. KDSJFLJDS and i don't think, realistically, vergil would have the patience for legos. however. that said. if he did. i think he would like the sets that take inspiration from real life buildings, especially the one based off of frank lloyd wright's fallingwater building:

what do they tend to look for in thrift / antique shops?

vergil has a bit of an issue with trinkets since he grew up mostly on the go so he only really let himself take what he needed + his book + yamato, of course. but. i think the easy answer here would be rare editions of books/first editions/etc. but i think that's an obvious and easy answer so i could see him also keeping an eye out for fountain pens but also he's very very very picky about the ones he decides to keep since they require a certain amount of maintenance and older pens can fall apart more easily etc.. he has a special fondness for the iconic parker 51 line for their reliability and how they can withstand a lot of things other fountain pens cannot (i like fountain pens)

what is their favorite exhibit at an aquarium?

i think vergil would love aquariums in general and find them very peaceful!! he likes the deep sea creatures exhibits the most. secretly i think he would find them misunderstood creatures and feel kind of bad about them since so many people find them scary for simply having to adapt to their environment and do what they need to survive. gee i wonder why he'd feel kind of sad. but don't expect him to own up to that he Will Not say that.

what does their breakfast look like?

his ideal breakfast is bacon, sausage, (yes both, half-devil appetites can be crazy) and fried eggs with a slightly runny yolk (but not too runny) and coffee, taken black of course. his usual breakfast is an apple or a protein bar and coffee.

Who cooks meals for the other? it depends on where they are. if they are in japan or in the us, hajime insists on cooking more often than not. he’s not an amazing chef, but he’s definitely not a bad cook - and with their respective careers? of course every meal he makes is nutritionally perfect for their needs (sometimes he’s a little too strict about it, but oikawa knows how to convince him to loosen up). if they are in argentina, oikawa takes over the cooking because they know the local ingredient and recipes much better.

Who spams the other with memes? they’re both guilty of sending memes to each other, but oikawa does it more often. oikawa’s moment of triumph was the day they sent a meme someone made of them about them joining the sexy setter contest with atsumu and kageyama. hajime pretends he never saw it.

Who likes to tidy around the house? they’re both pretty good at keeping up with chores and keeping their living space organised. hajime just has a weird tendency to forget to throw away empty cardboard boxes, or any size. oikawa has asked him about this several times. he still doesn’t have an answer. 

Who likes to play pranks on the other? both, definitely both bvjdfbv they just have different ways of going about it, hajime’s pranks are very practical, like putting salt in oikawa’s coffee in the morning or something, while oikawa’s pranks are probably sneakier and hajime nEVER sees them coming even after all those years.

Who asked the other to move in with them? they met each other half way. oikawa was the first to mention the possibility, almost like a joke, a passing thought, ‘hey wouldn’t it be crazy if we actually lived together’, and then didn’t mention it again. hajime was the first to raise it as a serious possibility a few months later, ‘hey actually why don’t we live together’. as attached to california as he is, he knows he’d much rather be with tooru; and he loves san juan, so if they’re not going back to japan, why not be in argentina together?

Who is in charge of the music during a car ride? they fight about it and resolve it with rock, paper scissors nvdkfnv but they always fight about one of them cheating, so it ends up with a simple rule: whoever drives gets to choose the music. simple and efficient. 

Who is more likely to tickle the other mercilessly? BOTH. most of the time though, oikawa is the one starting it, knowing FULL WELL hajime is ticklish as hell. and of course, hajime has to retaliate, and he doesn’t stop until oikawa is both laughing and crying and begging for mercy because their lungs are about to collapse.

Who needs to hold the other during scary movies? okay i don’t know how oikawa feels about scary movies, but hajime doesn’t mind them/doesn’t really get scared but... he does get involved, so if oikawa were to grab his hand or arm or otherwise hold him, hajime is grabbing back just as intensely nvfdnv oikawa may do with this knowledge as they like.

Who has to help the other when it comes to technology? hajime isn’t bad with technology, but he loses patience very quickly and easily. how many times has he stood up from the table while working on laptop looking pissed and arguing that something is bugged, only for oikawa to press like two buttons and fix the issue? they’ve lost count. iwa denies everything. oikawa knows better,

Who likes to get a bit frisky in public / an inappropriate setting? at the beginning of their relationship, oikawa would have more of a tendency for this kind of thing, if only because hajime was still finding his footing with his own sexuality, even with things like pda. with time and as they grew more comfortable in the relationship, though? hajime has certainly grown more confident :smirk:

Who wakes up first, and do they wake up the other or let them rest? they’re both athletes, therefore both early risers. hajime has more leniency with how early he needs to get up, but he likes to start his day early - and with oikawa, so he asks them to wake him up if he’s not already up by the time they’re awake too. 

Who is always taking pictures of the other when they aren’t looking? O I K A W A. and they’re not even TRYING to be subtle about it, and it infuriates hajime beyond measure (or so he says). but hey, guess who has a folder on his phone of pictures he took of oikawa when they weren’t looking during a game or a hike? he’ll deny it and threaten to delete the folder if oikawa ever finds out and makes fun of him.

Who always forgets their wallet and never ends up paying for anything? do i even need to say it nvknf WE HAVE A THREAD ABOUT THIS NJV hajime just wonders if they do it on purpose to get on his nerves or not nvdvf.

Who can’t sleep because the other snores or moves too much at night? hajime snores if he feels asleep on his back. he didn’t know it and refused to believe it until oikawa recorded him one night and made him listen the next morning. fortunately, oikawa just has to nudge him enough that he’ll turn to his side, sometimes without even waking up, and magic, problem fixed. 

Who is better at video games, and do they let the other win or show no mercy? they both have their strengths and weaknesses. oikawa has better coordination and faster reflexes, and is better at puzzles. hajime understands games logic a bit better and is a better problem solver. when they play against each other, it’s a merciless war. if they play together, they’re unbeatable.

Who always gets up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and accidentally wakes up the other? it depends on the night. sometimes oikawa has trouble falling asleep, and hajime generally stays up with them until they fall asleep. hajime gets headaches when a storm is coming and always apologises/tells oikawa to get back to sleep if his getting up to get an aspirin wakes them up.

Well Vash could just crumble into dust right then and there. Regardless, he must soldier on.

Summoning up all the will in his body to not dramatically collapse to the floor, Vash says, "Oh...that's okay..." and stares at the display case long enough to annoy the people in the line behind him, mutters scattering behind him like cricket chirps. "Can I get two glazed donuts? And a coffee." And then he settles on the most boring alternative.

The clerk, trying to be pleasant, smiles and nods and gets two glazed donuts and a coffee. Yippee! Placated, or at least almost placated, Vash pays and quickly shuffles off to the side to pour some half-and-halfs into his coffee, which happens to be where the man who STOLE his jelly donuts is standing. "Their jelly donuts are sooo good," he says, eyes fixed pointedly on the box instead of the guy. "Have you had them before?"
