couldn't be more thrilled with how well this commission turned out. thank you again for your incredible work!
After nearly two years of writing and over half a million words later, the Devil & the Deep Blue Sea series is finally complete! This remains both the most challenging and most enjoyable project I’ve ever worked on; I was writing this while going through some very intense personal losses as well as many personal victories. Kingsley and his friends made for great company.
As for the future, I assure you that we have not heard the last from Kingsley and his faithful crew. In the meantime, I’m currently working on a project for Baldur’s Gate 3 (with a somewhat familiar face as our intrepid Tav!), but in the future I intend to pursue some smaller projects related to Devilverse. While I think this one will always remain supreme, I’ve dreamt up both a prequel and a sequel collection to this main series, with the sequel series slated to serialize first at the moment. An announcement will be made for the first installment after I take a hiatus, as I am now officially ABD (!!!) and need to prioritize writing my dissertation (and/or original fiction…stay tuned). It currently looks like I’m taking at least the rest of the spring off, but who knows?
I want to both thank everyone that tagged along for the ride while I was serializing, and also welcome those of you that might’ve been waiting for the finished product. Every comment, every kudos, every bookmark means a lot to me — and will in perpetuity. I am always open to questions about this body of work and use the tag "devilverse tag" for any content or questions I might field.
Thank you, again.

One fateful night nearly one year prior, Kingsley Tealeaf escaped captivity in the Hespet Archipelago and vowed to leave the world he left in his wake changed. Having made his name known as one to be feared, Captain Tealeaf has taken his faithful crew northward and turned his sights towards Darktow. ‘Scores to settle’ does not even begin to cover it. This is war — and all that it entails. As Kingsley reaches the end of the labyrinth and as more players show their hands and faces, the only thing that is certain is that nothing is guaranteed.
It’s Kingsley’s turn to take up the Nein’s mantle of being a hero that no one has heard of. The Revelry’s throne is his for the taking — provided that someone else doesn’t get there first. Chapter XXIII: In the end, we all knew that this story would end right where it started: a dungeon. As some gain shackles and others lose them, everything hurtles towards the final confrontation between Kingsley and Wyatt Maranoss.

A/N: I had to edit and post this during a brief power outage at my house; I'll most likely be going through and doing those final edits for the rest of the week, now that I can charge my laptop/phone reliably again. (I swear, my life is very normal 97% of the time; these past 18 months have felt like a decade.)
Chapter XX: The ball is ever so in motion. A memorial is held -- a call to action to some, and a call to stand down to others. As the crew prepares for the final showdown in Darktow, the final question is the shape of it.
