Time to visit dear Amanda’s ask box!!!💕💕💖💗 it’s been too long🙈
I’ve brought questions with me! Take as long as you want to answer them :3
1. For dazzling Carina: I know she loves all her classes🤭 but if them of, which would she say would have to be her least favorite of them?
2. For heartstopper Orpheus: does he have a personal favorite bird species (can’t be a raven just bc it’s his animagus form😂) that he could ramble on and on about?
3. For little bean Tobi: his personal opinion on what the ultimate form of potatoes is? (As in his favorite way to eat them)
4. For the dynamic Blake twins: one thing they will bicker about from childhood till they’re old and grey😂
Love you Amanda!!💜💜 I might be away for a hot second working on a certain someone’s birthday gift so I wanted to drop by before then <3
Ruby love!!
Sorry this has been chilling in my ask box for the past few days, life’s been busy and stressful ya know.
Anyway!! Questions about my babies!!! Let’s get to it!
1. For someone as endlessly curious and knowledge hungry as Carina, choosing a least favorite class is almost impossible. She genuinely enjoys learning and can find something fascinating in every subject Hogwarts has to offer. That said, if she absolutely had to choose, it would have to be Care of Magical Creatures. Not that she dislikes caring for and learning about beasts. But it’s the sheer amount of sun exposure she gets in class. Poor dear does have a sensitivity to sunlight due to her albinism. And while some sun is good for her, especially since she spends so much time in the library, even short term exposure leaves her sunburnt, uncomfortable, and exhausted. So you can imagine, if she could get away with it, she’d just study the theory portion of the class and stay safely tucked indoors.
2. Of course Orpheus has a favorite bird, and I guess to me it seems obvious. Hummingbirds. Part of it is sentimental because his mother was a hummingbird Animagus. Some of his earliest memories were watching her flit around in her tiny form. But even beyond that, he has always been genuinely fascinated by them. For someone so quiet and self-contained, hummingbirds are one of the few topics that can get him talking without realizing how much time has passed. Ask a simple question and he’s suddenly explaining migration routes, territorial behavior, feeding patterns, how they build their tiny nests and other random facts. In all this you’ll find a rare moment that very few ever get to see; where his stoic demeanor slips and childlike glee crosses his face.
3. Tobi loves food, he could eat half the Great Hall table, go back for seconds, and still somehow find room for dessert. That being said, he loves potatoes in any and all forms and firmly believes that it’s not a true meal without some form of potatoes. But in his personal opinion the ultimate form of potatoes would be simple butter herb roast potatoes. Proper home cooked ones that his mum makes. Nothing beats them. Between the crispy edges and the soft insides, it’s the end of the discussion for him. Though he will admit that potato gratin has slowly become another personal favorite and it has absolutely nothing to do with it being Anya’s favorite.
4. Oh the twins! Devon and Amanda will always bicker about who is the older twin, mainly because Devon is so unbearable about being born 12 minutes earlier, he refuses to let it die. For example some of their banter…
Devon: “As the elder sibling…”
Amanda: “By Twelve minutes.”
Devon: “As. The. Elder. Sibling.”
Amanda: “We’re the same age.”
Devon: “Factually incorrect.”
Amanda: “Dev.”
Devon: “Manda.”
Or
Amanda: “You do realize twelve minutes isn’t enough time to gain wisdom.”
Devon: “Then explain why I’m consistently wiser.”
Amanda: “I can’t explain delusions.”
Anyone close with them has learned that there is no winning this argument. Mainly because Amanda refuses to give up on principle. And Devon refuses to stop because his sister refuses to concede. Though deep down, neither of them actually wants the argument to end. It’s become such a permanent fixture of their relationship that if one day Devon didn’t remind Amanda he was older, she’d probably assume he’d been replaced by an impostor.
Thank you for the ask Ruby my dear, I’ve missed your questions in my ask box. Now, I too have to finish something for someone’s birthday tomorrow 😅
XOXO
Amanda
