Ironically, she still remembered her first bite. And contrary to what most would assume, she had not killed her first victim.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Flori. And that would be Mary Louise. Unfortunately, I possess no cutesy nicknames."

She'd share her own first time but this was, despite everything, a very pleasant conversation. And why would she derail it into sadness and despair?

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Mary Louise. I will endeavor to come up with a nickname that suits you, if you are okay with it. If not, then I will just refer to you as I have."

"Needs must, as they say." Another beat and then: "I'm Floribeth. But most people call me Flori. It's a pleasure to meet you, miss...?"
