I shouldn't have to explain this probably, but none of the kids were born out of Mark's ass. I sorta hate butt babies as an mpreg concept because of the general transphobic undertones of it. No offense to butt babies, though. Live your life!

Mark strikes me as the type to be so detached and calculated about his own labor that he just goes up to Danny calmly and tells him his water broke in the same tone that you'd use to remind someone to take out the trash. Then he just leaves.

Here's something for you Devoingo fans:

When Mark first got pregnant with Natasha, he kept it hidden from Danny as long as he possibly could because their relationship was going so well and the idea of having kids was never something that either of them discussed and presumably wasn't something they ever planned on doing.

A few people told me that the idea of Mark and Danny having more than one kid isn't plausible BUT hear me out for a minute here:

I imagine that Natasha was born with a full head of hair and as she gets a bit older, it just gradually becomes thicker and fluffier so she looks like a sentient brunette puffball by 3 months old.

So when Mark gets pregnant with their second baby, him and Danny are fully anticipating to have another little cloudhead on their hands. Only for Mark to give birth to a baby who's almost ENTIRELY bald except for one little curl in the front like a cartoon baby.

To some of the new folks here, here's a reminder of how many mpreg spawns I've written!

Danny and Mark have one child (Natasha) (however i'm really not against the idea of them having two)

Jerry and Mark have five kids in my main storyline (Ginger, Bug, Lady, Dottie and Cedric), but they ALSO have three kids in a college yaoi au my partner and I wrote together (Arlo, Peg and Muffin) but the college au is separate from the main storyline

Mark carried them all. I'm really specifically into Markpreg (although i've written about Alan and Bob1 being pregnant in the past.)

So I had a few thoughts about Natasha's birth specifically (and my brain won't allow me to write a full on oneshot yet because the ADHD demons forbid it currently) so here's just some word vomit I guess (TW for childbirth discussion btw)

Also I do have LOTS of birth lore about the spudlings so definitely hit up my ask box if you have any questions

-Natasha was born at home. They had a medical connection on standby, but they really wanted to keep it as intimate and between them as possible

- Mark was either a screaming mess or surprisingly focused during the birth (most likely the latter) because I mean... He did say he wanted to feel the whole thing.

- Danny was an excellent birth partner. He knew when to keep his mouth shut, never left Mark's side and when he did need to talk he gave him lots of encouragement and praise (all while going apeshit internally because HHNG DAD ANXIETY)

- They still had no idea what they were going to name the baby and even spent a good deal of Mark's labor trying to figure it out. Natasha wasn't named until they got her birth certificate like a day or so later (they were calling her "thing" for the past nine months)

- They cuddled a lot that day. Mark gets clingy.

So some more info on Devoingo baby:

Her name is Natasha, she was born October 29th, 1980. Her favorite color is purple and her main interests are bugs, biology and collecting stickers.

Mark is the one who carried and birthed her (tbh I can't see Danny carrying a baby but that really comes down to personal preference). This is really specific information, but she was born in a car.

As an adult, Natasha is an art student who really likes making drawings of mutated insect women. She's as nerdy and weird as her parents.
