Haha true, and I actually have started falling for the genre! You don’t get the same smokey strong female voices today like you used to, and so I’m finding it fun singing songs in that manner like the old greats did (Dusty Springfield, Peggy Lee etc.)

bilari, devonblank, heartscanhealx, zainabings and beeeeeeeyaa have all been huge inspirations to me
bilari, zainabings, beeeeeeeya (? I always mess up the e’s) and all the other beautiful muslim girls I follow have all inspired me to become a better person and to give out love into the world, whilst devonblank has inspired me to continue my writing, and to not give up on myself. heartscanhealx has also given me so much more confidence, and again encouraged me to be a better person, as she is so beautiful too.
The tumblr muslim community especially has had a huge impact on me in so many ways, and I am so grateful to all of them for that - jazakAllah, you beautiful people xx
