In this respect it can have a phallic meaning as the ‘male’ aspect of the life-force that permeates and animates the natural world and is depicted as the Green Man. However, that is when it has two forks or prongs like horns. In the old Devonshire Craft there is also a three-pronged stang like a trident representing the witch- goddess.”
