For @devoraticn.
“They say geraniums stand to signify folly.” Both hands held behind his back, his gaze was set not on the other, but on the bright pink and orange drops among the near overwhelming greenery. There had been no prior discussion, no indication that he were even in the room the second before he spoke; as though appearing out of thin air which, for those who knew him (like the man standing a mere few steps away) really did not sound as dubious as it might. A frown crossed his face, even if for but a brief second - not entirely that of bafflement, but... of amusement, perhaps, and humility; that of one knowing they failed to see the bigger picture. “Then again, they say red roses signify mourning as much as they do love.”
With that funny little smirk that somehow seemed mischievous and honest all at once, he finally turned his gaze to the other; big, eyes as round and dark as bottomless wells like, at the same time, posing no threat. “Funny how much weight and meaning can be poured into things as trivial as the reproductive organs of plants.”
