This spotlight saturday is featuring the amazing artist, Taj Francis, hailing from Jamaica. 

I truly believe that Francis is a magician of color, texture and fantasy. His illustrations are highly detailed and stands out in his distinctive style. I love his rich concepts because they feel very organic; seeped in flowers, bright colors and the natural physical state of people of color.  These are all the wonderful reasons why you should know more about this artist!

Wendy Xu is an amazing comic artist; and personally, I love artist who aren't art majors but still pursue their passions. Wendy Xu is a Asian woman living in NY and is a recent undergrad graduate with a degree in psychology with a creative wring minor from NYU. 

The reason why she's being featured today is because of her her Angry Girl comics blog. I love anything with angry and girl in it so I was instantly hooked on her work. The first comic I've seen from this artist is the first one shown in this feature about 'yellow fever'. 

Angry Girl Comics is a blog mixed with autobiographical work, original concepts and ideas, socially conscious art and fan art. All in all, a bad ass blog.
