"I wondered how long it might take for me to see your face." A smile upon the Goddess' lips, head is forced to tilt upwards just to have a good look at his face. Though nonetheless, an embrace is given to the other. "And how are you faring, Maahes?"

Celebrations of Old | Ammit & Maahes
A reunion like this surely calls forth for a celebration in a way only an Ancient Egyptian can give. This wasn't your typical party where there had been kegs and booze galore. Alcohol for the faint hearted. The kinds of people that didn't know how to really drink their fill. Thing about a Kemite was they knew their beer. It'd been a ritual to drink it upon a daily basis when the Nile ran with filth that'd kill you from ingesting it. And so from Renenutet, Ammit bartered several crates of beer. Fermented by the Goddess herself so it'd been perfect to the touch. Which had been the only way to drink it.
The grin was wide on the Devouress. One thing she'd enjoyed from this was the fact she could show to her daughter the old ways of their people. Just this much she could give Sanura a mild taste of what life would have been like for the younger demoness.
Soon enough, Ammit had gained word that the guest of honor was finally arriving and she made her way towards the front where she would greet him. Personally, to her at least, there weren't enough Kemites--Ancient Kemites--showing their face, and the minute she would hear of one, it was enough to warm a black heart to actually show some appreciation for an old friend. When his face had been in view, corners of her lips were curved and she held out a chalice of beer.
"It's been a bit too long, no?"
