oh, now he tells her. it shouldn’t come as a surprise. as unpredictable as lucifer was, in the same way, he was also kind of predictable-- as contradictory as that might’ve sounded. she wouldn’t tell him that, though. any time she says something he doesn’t agree with, he tries to prove her wrong and it’s something that she is currently not in the mood for.
still, she can’t pass up the opportunity to rib him a little.
“ what’s this? the great LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR? not confident? ” eyebrows raise in mock surprise. “ now that’s a first! and here i thought you were always confident... what changed? ”
she lets up after that, sighing lightly and shrugging her shoulders.
“ i guess i can’t tease you too much, ” she says. “ at least we caught our killer. ”
