I did bump into this dewolfe record on one of my expeditions with my pal Thierry. It’s full of strings, cellos, and has a certain oriental style I found very enjoyable. I bought it at the Alan Record Shop in East Finchley a true gem of a record store. Alan is a great guy.
There is also a fun story related to this record. Once, I was at the Brilliant Corners during one of my residencies as SUGO, and it took me 6 minutes to realise I was playing this record at the double of the speed. How embarrassing! Especially for a snooty place like the Brilliant Corners, where its customers are (well, were) very attentive to the music played.
Fun Fact, it was composed by Antonio Vallotti, whose real name was Meyer de Wolfe, which I guess is the founder of the label?
