ANGER has never been an emotion harrison has been good at expressing. when he was little, jamie would calmly explain to him that he needed to use actual words instead of hitting. when he was with hannah, she taught him that anger was a good emotion && to use it to motivate himself. but when he moved into a home for boys, he was taught that anger was bad && got punished badly when he would act on it. harrison bottled it up, it sat uncomfortably in his gut for the longest time, until the owner of the boy’s home laid dead in front of him on his sixteenth birthday. . . that’s how he figured out his vice. he was a code-less killer; opposite to his father in his killing habit ( how was he meant to do that, though? )
harrison lets out a slow breath. feelings overwhelm him. he’s angry, that’s at the forefront, but he’s feeling betrayal, sadness, ( ------ relief? ) dark eyes look over the other male, he looks older than what harrison remembers but it’s undeniable that the other is his FATHER. the blond wants to lash out && kill him, but he can’t. he can’t just drive a knife through dexter’s stomach, even though he wants to ( oh, GOD, how he wants to. )
‘ i don’t want anything to do with you. ’ it’s sharp, to the point -- it’s all he wants to say. ( no, it’s not. he has so many questions. but he can’t get past this stubborn hurdle. )
