legacy/combat/frowning dexyn ^^^^^^ called frowning dexyns because of how their mouth is shaped differently from advanced dexyns
the little teeth between their molars and canines are made for ripping skin/meat off bones / holding branches/small, long items (since theyre the bulkiest of dexyn subspecies theyre made for heavy work Which includes nest making, cave conditioning, resource hunting, feeding other dexyns/packmates, etc)
advanced/racer/show dexyn ^^^^ unlike legacy dexyns their chin spikes are included in their skull. legacy dexyn's chin spikes can move individually just like their head frills
both are fm. Their head frills dont show in their skull because theyre Separate individual bones 👆👆👆👆👆👆👆 they move freely on their head something like cockatoos. When theyre interested / threatened their head frills will go up. when trying to come off as friendly theyll lay all the way back
