"Doing nothing often leads to the very best of something." - Winnie the Pooh. . Some of my free time is spent on making little #paperdresses. I find it very meditative and therapeutic. It's also a great way for me to channel some of my creative energy. I honestly don't know why I started to get into this. Last December I found that I would once again be in between contract gigs and normally I would start to worry but one night I just sat there ... meditating. After awhile I opened my eyes and continued to sit there and do nothing. I liked the feeling of doing nothing. No working late at night. No preparing training content, no deadlines to think about. I decided to sleep while holding this feeling of "no worry". . The next day, I did the same thing. I meditated then just sat around doing nothing and yet doing something -> just being. I love the feeling of just being. It's so joyful ☺. After some time I suddenly got the urge to make a paper dress. I had left over white tissue paper from gift wrapping Christmas presents so I started with that. One dress lead to another and another. Being goal oriented, I decided to set a goal to make #100paperdresses just to challenge myself. By mid February I completed the 100 with a few more left to spare. . Making paper dresses became something to do with some of my free time. I have a lot of fun doing it. It brings back good feelings of kindergarten and elementary school art time. . Now, I've given myself another goal of making a second batch of 100 paper dresses. I've managed to pick up another consulting gig and in between I'll meditate, take care of the little urban jungle (@projectgreenyxe) that I created in the studio, and make little paper dresses when I can (@the_paper_dress_studio). . This is the smallest paper dress that I've ever made. I wanted to see how small I could make them. Apparently, goal setting and thinking up of challenges is a thing with me. .
