This year's MT is campus-wide. How ambitious!

September arrives, bringing new beginnings— new classes, new friends, and now, a new event! To conclude summer break on a high note, Yeonhwa University is proud to announce its first-ever campus-wide Membership Training (MT)! Taking place from Friday, September 5th to Sunday, September 7th, at Daeho Campgrounds, in Onju, a charming and picturesque city just an hour east of Seoul. Attendance is free of charge for those who register in advance; the university will also provide transportation to and from the retreat center. However, please be aware that slots are limited, so be sure to register before space runs out!

MT Schedule:

Friday, September 5th 

8 AM - Students meet in front of the Student Center to check in and board the bus. Buses leave promptly at 8:45 AM!  10 AM - Arrive at the retreat grounds. Check out housing facilities and camp amenities.  11 AM - 2: 30 PM - Lunch served 5PM - 8 PM - Students must meet up with those in their department to prep and cook dinner.  9 PM - Department Trivia Night. 

Saturday, September 6th 

7 AM - 10:30 AM - Breakfast served in the camp cafeteria  11:30 AM - 2 PM - Lunch served  5PM - 8PM - Students must meet with those in their department to prep and cook dinner.  9 PM - Campus Bonfire

Sunday, September 7th 

7 AM - 11 AM - Breakfast served 1 PM - Depart back to Yeonhwa

Accommodations are as follows: to encourage bonds between different departments, each student will be randomly assigned a room. Students can find their room and roommates here. Some may think this defeats the purpose of a real MT, but do not fret! Students will have plenty to bond with those in their academic departments, as each department is responsible for preparing and cooking dinner for themselves. The campsite will not be providing dinner, so if your department does not prepare and cook dinner, you will not be able to eat!

Sandwiched between two mountains, Daeho Campgrounds is the perfect place to admire nature and get a reprieve from the busy atmosphere and pollution of the city. The campground offers numerous amenities that attract both residents and tourists alike:

Hiking routes. There are many trails that students can follow. Some are easier than others, so be sure to pick up a brochure at the campgrounds' main office to learn more about the trails.

 The most popular trail leads to a crystalline lake. An easy 15 minutes away from the center pavilion, students can take a refreshing swim or borrow a paddleboard or paddleboat from the lake house. ***Please be aware that no one is allowed at the lake after 9 PM and skinny dipping is strictly prohibited***

Outdoor yoga: The campground hosts yoga sessions every hour from 8 AM to 3 PM in the central pavilion. If you need to walk through the central pavilion during these classes, we ask that you do so quietly so as not to interrupt the class!

Outdoor painting: The campground will set up large canopies for students to sit and paint to their heart's content.

Sports courts: You can find multiple badminton and volleyball courts dispersed across the campsite. A separate, designated area for capture the flag is a short 10-minute walk from the main pavilion.

The amenity that attracts the most visitors by far is Daeho’s many treehouses dispersed across the campgrounds. Each treehouse contains lush pillows, blankets, a mini table, and a collection of books.

OOC Note: Welcome to Yeonhwa KRP's second event! While the festival will occur from the 5th to the 7th, our event will run from Friday, August 29th, to Friday September 19th. Afterwards, no event starters can be posted; however, you are welcome to continue your threads after the event concludes. Please tag all event threads with dg:mt. While we outlined the general activies for the event, here are a couple of our headcanons/"unofficial" events not run by the university.

Students reported being woken by knocks on their doors at 1:11, 3:33, and 5:55 AM, with a different room disturbed each time. It wasn’t until comparing notes with others that they realized the pattern had affected nearly everyone.

Several students awoke to find their personal care items missing from the communal bathrooms. It was later discovered that an animal rights activist had taken it upon themselves to “cleanse” the space by disposing of any products that were not vegan or cruelty-free.

Despite competing with their individual departments, the members of Lyra and Polaris got into a verbal altercation trying to win at Trivia Night to finally determine which club is smarter.

A group of students attempted a late-night hike without a map, choosing instead to navigate by the constellations. Unsurprisingly, they became disoriented and lost track of the trail, requiring several hours to find their way back.

Reports circulated of coolers of snacks mysteriously disappearing overnight, only to be hidden in strange corners of the compound.

After a bit too much alcohol, the campus-wide bonfire evolved into a drunken talent show. Some students also drunkenly started a game of capture the flag at night. To see, these students stole the LED light sticks with ground stakes from the campground. The university is still trying to locate those students to ensure they repay the campground for the stolen material.

the loose pieces inside of park minjoon have long been his oldest friends. yes, oldest. they are a comforting, age old rattle between his ribs, chips knocked loose and roaming free with no home any longer. (but pieces are not good company, they are unfortunate reminders, and so they don't count for much, do they?) so he's left with nothing.

well, not true. he's left with her... he stares as he walks. he watches through the crowd as his long legs cut through with a deadly efficiency that takes him there with little time to prepare himself (despite how long he had planned it). she's at the booth. he's a fucking idiot— because now he's about to be at the stupid fucking booth. his heart clanks against his ribs when he stops in front of eunwoo. familiarity gathers and boxes his pieces and puts him together so he can do what he does best; and give her a feather light little sneer.

"they've got you here, huh." not a question, but also a question. "weird place for you of all people." sounds mean, stupid, not the way he meant it (she's too busy for things like this. eunwoo is like him, she's too much like him, right?)

he takes his hands out of his slack pockets and motions over things— he glances at the other faces working the booth as well, some of which he knows— and then he peers to her. the whole of him collides with his plan to piss her the fuck off because while the pieces of him agree, the rest of him tenses for a crash. (he just has to. he has to see it). he opens his fist (it was clenched into a fist at his side), and flips it over with a fistful of money, and stares at her expectantly, goadingly. "well, what are you waiting for? be a good girl." the table could probably hear. good. maybe she'll be embarrassed.

FRIDAY, SEPT 5TH

5 am — 8:45 am, your girl’s up at the crack of dawn, squeezing in a run and a round of practice shots before anyone else is awake. she’s one of the first people on the bus— showered, packed, and settled near the front. for most of the ride she takes on “team mom” duty, making sure no one forgets their water bottles or bags, and forcing her cereal bars on everyone until half the bus is snacking

10 am, meets her roomies (@ssourcandyy + @forewoven) for the weekend and immediately offers them (and anyone within arm’s reach) the extra cereal and protein bars from her duffel. volunteers for the top bunk—regrets it instantly when she discovers the mattress is basically a plank

afternoon, divides her time between laptop work (another attempt at securing a fall internship), stretching, and a light jog around the campsite to scope out the grounds

department dinner, pre-meds where you at!!! dani goes full captain mode, assigning everyone roles for dinner prep—meat griller, banchan + rice portioner, table setter, dish washer… it’s the smoothest, fastest MT dinner operation in history. if only she ran her love life this efficiently lmao

9 pm, trivia night. downs too much yogurt soju with dinner, sweeps every sports question, and gets way too heated over anatomy trivia—ends up in a mini tendon debate with a bio major. eventually dozes off at the table (she’s been up since 5 am, can you blame her). someone please carry her back to her room 🫶🏻

SAT, SEPT 6TH

6:30 am, shockingly sleeps in. devastated to have missed her workout. panics when she wakes up to unnie are you alive?? did you drown in the lake?? texts

midday, tries joining a yoga session after breakfast but her brain refuses to shut off. someone snaps a candid of her deadly serious warrior pose. later rallies a group for volleyball and accidentally spikes a ball straight into someone’s cooler

department dinner - day two, same efficient set-up. one student even makes a tiktok of their "assembly line" to flex on the other departments

9 pm, bonfire + capture the flag. she and @lxckystrike form a chaotic dream team, recruiting half the men’s football squad to dominate. doesn’t realize using the LED sticks counts as "stealing" and will later be filled with immense guilt over it and mails the campsite a handwritten apology letter

SUN, SEPT 7TH

12 am, finally crashes but refuses to suffer another night on the evil mattress. finds out jinyoung is crashing in one of the treehouses and goes to room with him

1:11 am, a knock at the door nearly scares her out of her skin. rattled, she shifts her blanket and pillow to sleep right beside jinyoung. barely sleeps the rest of the night

morning/bus ride, completely wiped after a weekend of nonstop activity + little sleep + a mild hangover. takes up an entire bus row in her oversized adidas sweats, curled up in a ball the entire ride back — her teammates have never seen her this wrecked

Did you hear? Yeonchella lineup just dropped!

To celebrate the end of finals and ring in the summer break, the Office of Student Life and Leadership, in collaboration with Antares and the Student Body Government, is proud to announce Yeonhwa University's first-ever Summer Festival — Yeonchella. Inspired by the popular Western Music Festival, Coachella, Yeonchella promises to be an unforgettable experience for students and guests alike. Yeonchella will run from Friday, July 11, to Sunday, July 13. The general festival amenities are available to all students and guests free of cost, but entrance to the concert area will require a ticket. Students can get tickets at a discounted rate of 15,000 ₩.

Upon entering the main campus, students and guests will notice various booths located on the library walk. Each booth is run by a student organization, sports team, or social club to promote itself and raise funds. Please note that student booths will only be open from 12 PM to 5 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Some of the most anticipated booths include: 

Dungeons & Dragons Booth: Club members will be larping to promote themselves. Students and guests will have the opportunity to try on costumes and play with fake weapons, including swords, daggers, bows, and arrows. 

Art Club Booth: For a small price of 5,000 ₩, students and guests can get a cute caricature of themselves drawn. What a perfect memento! 

Kissing Booth: Antares has graciously gathered forced student volunteers from all sports teams to host a joint kissing booth, raising funds for charity. While it is mandatory for sports team captains to take a shift (unless they want the funding for their team cut), other student-athletes are invited to sign up for a shift. Only cheek kisses will be allowed, and they can be purchased for the low price of 5,000 ₩. For an additional 2,000 ₩, guests can opt for a photo of themselves in the chokehold of the athlete of their choice.

Anime Club: Yeonhwa’s Anime Club is collaborating with Sweet Corn Cafe to serve up a special summer menu of refreshing drinks and pastries.

The concert portion of Yeonchella will take place in the track field. Only those with tickets can enter. Students are encouraged to bring picnic blankets to enjoy the concert; however, overnight camping is not permitted. Food trucks, restrooms, and the medical tent are located to the left of the main stage. Without further ado, the official lineup of the first-ever Yeonchella is as follows:

However, that is not all! The Astronomy Club has graciously offered to host the Official Afterparty on Saturday night. A short walk away from the track field, students and guests can enjoy a quiet night of stargazing with their high-definition telescopes. The club will provide picnic blankets and hot chocolate for attendees. What a perfect way to wind down for the night and rest up before another day of festivities.

A mysterious guest who steals shoes from students at the concert, especially those who decided to camp overnight. Much to their dismay, these acts cannot be reported to campus police as they'll get apprehended for camping. So these students take matters into their own hands.

With the Resident Advisors of Nuri Hall on vacation, the residents of the apartment complex decide to throw a crazy rooftop party on Friday night; their version of an afterparty. The party got a little too crazy. 

Disappointed that there is not an official afterparty on Sunday night, a group of students break into the Rec Center’s indoor pool to throw their own event. 

For once, Ophiuchus has nothing to do with an event. The members are stuck being regular students for the weekend.

Anything else you can come up with that might occur at a university summer festival. Go wild!

Trick or treat, Yeonhwa!

October creeps in, bringing cooler nights, half-finished essays, and looming deadlines that haunt students. To celebrate the season (and give everyone a break before midterms finish us off), the Student Body is hosting Yeonhwa University’s first-ever campus-wide Halloween Festival! From Friday, October 31st to Sunday, November 2nd, the campus will be transformed into a haunted playground complete with themed events, costume contests, and enough decorations to make Facilities file a complaint.

Participation is free, but some activities, like the Pumpkin Carving Showcase, will have limited slots, so make sure to register early! Whether you’re here for the jump scares, the photo ops, or just the free candy, there’s something for everyone, assuming you can handle the walk back to the dorms after dark. Friday, October 31st

10 AM – 5 PM / Pumpkin & Squash Patch Opens Located on the main lawn behind the library, the Faculty of Agriculture will be running Yeonhwa’s first campus pumpkin patch. Students can pick their own pumpkin or squash for free (one per person). Those interested in joining the Pumpkin Carving Showcase must register and pick up their pumpkin before 4 PM.

5 PM – 7 PM / Trick-or-Treat on Campus All academic departments will be stationed outside their respective buildings to hand out candy to students, guests, and the children of faculty and staff members. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Departments are reminded to clean up their stations after the event.

9 PM – 11 PM / Official Halloween Party Hosted by the Student Body in collaboration with the DJ club, the official Halloween Party will take place at the 3 AM nightclub. University security will be on-site.

Saturday, November 1st

10 AM – 5 PM / Pumpkin Carving Showcase Students can display their finished pumpkins in front of the Art Building for judging. The top three designs will receive gift vouchers from the Yeonhwa Bookstore. Please refrain from using live flames or candles in your carvings.

12 PM – 6 PM / Haunted House by the Theatre Department The Yeonhwa Theatre Department will transform the Humanities Building into a fully immersive haunted house experience. Entry is free, but donations are encouraged to support the department’s winter play. Visitors are advised not to touch the performers (and vice versa).

Sunday, November 2nd

11 AM – 2 PM / Autumn Market & Bake Sale Clubs and organizations will set up booths along the library walk selling homemade treats, warm drinks, and fall-themed goods. All proceeds go toward student club funding.

3 PM – 5 PM / Outdoor Screening: “Coraline” Held on the main field. Students are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and jackets. Complimentary popcorn and hot drinks will be provided by the Film Club.

As previously mentioned, participation is free of charge, though some events require registration. Costumes should remain campus-appropriate; masks must be removed when entering academic buildings. Students are reminded to treat campus property with care, as Facilities will be inspecting decorations the following Monday.

While the above schedule outlines the official university programming, the real attention is on the student-organized party that has taken over campus conversations.

The Student Thrown Halloween Party (Friday, October 31st) / The event everyone’s been pretending not to talk about. Talks of this party circulated through group chats and whispered invites for weeks. The location of the party is the old, abandoned math building on the far side of campus. It is set to be demolished in January 2026, to make way for more student housing, but what's one more hurrah? Though the building has been off-limits for the past year, a special favor was called in so that the University's admin would turn a blind eye. While most students assume this is the doing of the Student Body Government, it actually is the joint efforts of the Ophiuchus members, most of whom are using this party to scout for new members.

As the event is not recognized by the university, anything that might happen around or because of them is fair game for threading.

heyaa, i'm back from hiatus (was i really gone tho?) and am here for an event plot call!!!!!!!! i have the timeline for agatha for all three days under the cut and will be putting on hera's day 1 timeline here too (she leaves before dinner during day 1 due to filming; sad) so if we're not already plotting hit that like button and i shall come knocking < 3

day 1 - friday

8:00 - one of the first ones there as she's probably helping checking people in as part of her student government duties, will be sitting with yerim on the way there!

10:00 - again, probably helping with making sure that everyone could see the list of who's rooming with who, probably arguing having friendly discussions with those who would want to switch rooms, when the instructors aren't looking, she'll give them a wink and say that they won't be checking anyways so-- also meets her roommates and have a mini celebration that she's assigned with seoyun and stella

11:00 - the first thing she checks out was the treehouses and it seems that everyone did too as every treehouse was full of groups except one and spends some time crocheting with jiahn!

12:00 - lunch time!! anyone is welcome to join her for lunch! (pspsps maybe someone she hasn't met before?)

15:00 - drags minhyun to play badminton and they're totally not day drinking

17:00 - joins her department in preparing for dinner. she's not much of a cook but it's the first time she won't be running this ship like a navy because she's still a little bit buzzed. don't trust her with a knife but can look after idk turning skewers or something.

21:00 - skips on trivia night to fulfill a promise and that's jumping in the lake with minhyun (and may or may not be clothed, looks away)

22:00 - teeth chattering and shoulders shivering, she scurries inside the dorms and bumps into shiyu

23:00 - she's taking a warm shower to be rid of the grime from the lake and would be panicking because her conditioner and hair mask is missing ;-; will your muse be there to help?

00:00 - wraps herself in three blankets to sleep :"

day 2 - saturday

3:33 - gets woken up by the knocking and she goes down her bunk to answer the door, she's still pretty sleepy at this time so she has her blanket wrapped around her head and dragging behind her and runs into your muse ?!??! who thought she was the ghost ?!?!? so you both end up scaring each other

8:00 - groggy af but comes down when the second call for breakfast was announced, eats breakfast with joon

9:00 - spends some time painting but not really painting, she got a pencil somewhere and starts sketching the clouds and the people around, your muse sits beside her and wonders why she isn't even using the paint palette laid in front of her

10:00 - decides to go for a walk to stretch her legs but not for a hike because she doesn't want to sweat like she did yesterday, your muse finds her wandering around and joins her :"

11:00 - spending sometime in the lake paddle boarding with eunwoo sitting as she paddles. they do end up falling into the water at some point and if agatha sees your muse laughing, she'll come and splash you with her paddle

14:00 - may have missed lunch after spending the majority of her time on the lake with eunwoo and then showering right afterwards so she's walking around aimlessly in search for food and your muse offers her some??? begging

17:00 - she's more reliable this time around for dinner and is even back to her usual bossing people around with a kind smile tactic to get them to work :" did i mention that she's in the media and performing arts dept? so pspspsp!

21:00 - dedicated her time to getting jinyoung as drunk as possible! (yippee!!)

22:00 - walks yerim to the dorms and they have a little heart to heart talk as yerim falls asleep, she sobers up a little after this

23:00 ~ onwards - she's chilling by the fire, all mellowed out due to the beer(s) she’s been drinking and it's just a really chill and fun time and you find that miss intimidating agatha isn't so intimidating at all (if you still think so after her chaos that is cheating on drinking games to make jinyoung drink then what)

day 3 - sunday

5:00 - actually manages to wake up early on the last day to catch the sunrise, which she meant to do so the previous day but she was too cold to get out of bed but she succeeded today and maybe shares the moment with your muse :"

8:00 - gets called by the instructors to ask about the LEDs being stolen and your muse see agatha lying through her teeth because she clearly knows who's involved

9:00 - finally gets to eat breakfast and she's in a sour mood because the instructors and camp staff did not need to have her on lock down for an hour

1:00 - sits with jinyoung on the bus ride back because she feels bad about yesterday :"

8:00 - sits on the bus ride there with yujin and watched a horror movie throughout the whole ride and they're definitely not scaring themselves no no

10:00 - meets her roomies!!!! and leaves the rest of them to fight over beds while taking the last one that isn't yet taken

11:00 - missed the call for lunch as she was out doing yoga, she meditates a lot and enjoys being outside for once to do absolutely nothing, truly feeling the MT vibes

12:00 - lunch time!!! feel free to sit beside her, she won't bite and is actually pretty nice once you know, you get past the she's famous or wtv

13:00 - goes for a hike but realizes she's quite unprepared for the trek and may drag the group/your muse down with her needing to stop a lot

15:00 - gets a call from her manager that she has to go back to the city for a last minute filming schedule and she's sad the rest of the day

16:00 - spends her last hour there sitting by the lake and looking at all the people having fun and kind of being all melancholy about it because she's supposed to be having her full uni student experience this semester but :////

17:00 - leaving for the city!!

FRIDAY.

— Passed out for the bus ride so she gets a head start on messing up her circadian rhythm for the weekend. If anyone wants to claim they endured an unconscious game of footsie on the road to camp, be my guest 👐

— Pre–lunch setting up in her room. Teaming up with Daji / @009wav to fight for the single bed which kind of defeats the purpose but spares their friendship from the top bunk / bottom bunk distinction. Swedish sleeping method iykyk

— Something something how many fine arts majors does it take to cook a stew. Shiyu volunteers to prep vegetables for dinner but opts out of cooking duty other than her own portion (#MyPescatarianTruth) and instead probably chills out somewhere and enjoys the scenery until dinner.

— Doesn't have a competitive bone in her body so she's bailing on trivia night! Available to hangout all Friday evening until late o'clock when she heads back.

SATURDAY.

— Doesn't go to camp yoga because she's very pretentious about that sort of thing, instead sleeps in during the morning and then goes to the lake with Jinyoung / @lxckystrike to people watch. If your muse is doing something hilarious in the water please report it 🫵

— Lunching with fellow department ditcher Lucas / @grimbound after her stop by the lake.

— Bare minimum participation chopping vegetables and then camping out somewhere away from the kitchen, you know the drill. Anyone else skimping on cooking duties please sit around and complain with her, or sneak a meal together!

— Drunken talent show is like actually her parade number. Fellow brave soul to perform the Tiktok cartwheel challenge to a live crowd?

— Social battery fully charged up. Assuming she doesn't break both arms doing shenanigans at the bonfire, Shiyu is free for the rest of the night before heading back to sleep!

SUNDAY.

— Kinda #dead but down to debrief before the bus ride home. Will be sleeping all the way and listening through SOPHIE's discography so.. Someone with a steady shoulder to sleep on?
