(Valerie) Kogan, a giant naga, was not sure what to make of this. Orange-and-red eyes watched the young woman warily, yet he was curious at the same time. He slithered forward, head tilted to the side slightly.

Valerie didn't notice him as she flicked a rock out between the feathers of her wings but when she heard breathing over her shoulder she only dared to look at him.

She slowly turned her head in confusion as she retracted her wings at the same time but kept them close at hand still.

 Valerie jumped back a little when she saw him, almost falling over but she caught herself and set herself straight.

He seemed harmless enough from the look of curiosity that she had caught in his eyes

"C-can I help you?" She stammered then cursed herself silently for sounding so stupid.
