Dhamsar
Dhamsar is the Deity of the Sun, Justice, and Protection from Oppression, and as a result is often the central figure in most polytheistic systems of worship amongst Surface cultures. Most cultures of Humans, Dwarves, as well as the High Elves and Mist Elves regard Dhamsar as one of the most important of their religions’ figures, and Dhamsar takes a major role among Drakelings, Quicklings, Pixies and many others on the Surface. Even some Underground cultures see scattered shrines to Dhamsar amongst the grand chambers, such as among Gnomes, Ogres, and Ratlings. As one of the most powerful of Deity in the pantheon, they are broadly respected even where the local religion does not typically venerate them.
Dhamsar is said to be the sibling of Lol’eth and Thurigyl, and of particular closeness to those other Deity. When they appear their physical form is that of a being in light armor which glows a bright red, with a similarly-styled shield on their back and a rod in their hand. Sometimes, they appear mounted atop a similarly nebulous giant of an elk, with antlers that gleam like red, heated crystal. When making an offering to Dhamsar, it is standard to draw culturally-specific symbols using either chalk or with burnt herbs—which vary depending on the tradition. Their symbols are the light halo, the golden shield, and the stag or elk.
