Dharavi is the largest slum of Mumbai, India and Asia, with a population of over one million people and an economic output of over a billion us dollars. The movie, DHARAVI (1992) made in Hindi, is an excellent depiction of the life, struggles and aspirations of people living there. It reveals so much about the policies that can facilitate these micro-entrepreneurs.
