This afternoon, we were flooded with reports of extreme Shadow activity in Iwatodai. A worrying large number of public places in the city are shifting into the “Dark Hour,” as the Kirijo files refer to it. It’s like what Minazuki did to my town, except localized to specific areas. Worst part is, people aren’t safely locked up in coffins. The Shadow Operatives still don’t have a definitive answer as to what’s causing this, but my gut tells me another deity’s to blame.
I intend to hunt down the damn thing, have Izanagi take its head, and put the matter to bed, but saving people comes first. The attack sites are so numerous we’re having to split up to cover ground properly. Rise and Yamagishi-san are doing their best with reconnaissance and communications, but it’s still overwhelming even with all the Persona users at our disposal.
So far, I’ve managed to normalize an office building a few blocks, but this hospital is my next stop. I don’t even have time to catch my breath as I force open the powerless automatic doors. Inside, everything’s a sickly shade of green and blood appears to be forming in large pools on the floor. I’ve got to get this place out of the Dark Hour or some of the patients might die from the power outage alone. Assuming it’s like the office was, I just have to find the top Shadow and kill it. Me and Izanagi can handle it, no problem.
Running down the hallways, I cut down a few weak Shadows, but I don’t see anyone. Didn’t see anyone up at reception either. Hopefully, people had the sense to leave while they could or barricade themselves in. Hopefully.
Eventually, the Shadows stop coming and I allow myself to slump against a wall as I even out my breathing. When I have enough oxygen in my lungs, I yell through the hospital, hoping somebody hears me.
“Hello!? Is anyone out there? I’m with the police! I’m here to get you people to safety!”
I push myself off the wall, assuming the Shadows will respond to me much faster, and ready my sword.
