The Consorts of the Queen- Diamalthia Info
I just recently remembered that I haven't put up the Queen's consorts/husbands! Or any information about the harem. Well, I shall rectify that this instant.
The consorts or husbands (the terms are interchangeable, there is no difference between being called a consort or a husband in this particular case) of the Queen of Diamalthia are, of course, married to the Queen, whether by official ceremony or by the Queen's say-so. They do not, by marriage, become king(s). Kings are relitively rare in Diamalthia, the only instances being when the Queen only has sons to pass on the throne to, which has happened once or twice. The consorts do, though, have a bit of political sway in that they can speak to the Queen about matters as they wish to, and usually work as her many advisors whenever she is having problems as well as her closest gaurds. Other than that, the consorts have their own jobs, if they so choose to have them, or otherwise just live in comfort for the rest of their lives.
The consorts may have their own estates, depending on their preference, but generally live in the castle with the Queen.
Queen Sam currently has (5) consorts, listed below. (To be added to as I remember them/find them. XD)
Dan Phantom- Queen Sam's first husband. They married while Sam was still just the crown princess. He was considered a bit of an odd choice, considering he was a notorious criminal, but since becoming a royal consort, he has worked only in the name of Diamalthia. It is rumored that he works as a spy for Diamalthia's military, but there is (obviously) no official say on the matter. The only job people know him to have is being one of Sam's most trusted advisors. It is generally accepted that, though Sam adores all of her consorts, Dan is her favorite.
Henry Foss- A werewolf, and Sam's second husband. He was the object of Sam's affections ever since he first entered the castle to work on some of the broken computers there, and though it took a long while, she finally won him over. He rarely leaves the castle, usually holed up in the basement working on his electronics and inventions.
Avatar Korra- Sam's one and only female husband. Many, including Sam herself, were suprised to find her chasing after a woman, but Korra's tenacity and cockiness seemed to attract the Queen's attention in a big way. Korra was hounded by Sam for at least two years before she finally yielded to her advances and was added to Sam's harem, much to the Queen's delight. She's still exceptionally shy about their relationship. Besides being the Avatar, as far as Diamalthia is concerned, she trains any and all benders that work in Diamalthia's military.
Professor Hershel Layton- A history professor at one of Diamalthia's greatest universities. His and Sam's courtship was actually rather normal. Sam occasionally attends meetings when professors request funding for research, partly to see if it is of interest to the state, and partly because she gets interested in research in general. While history is not her favorite area of study, this particular meeting she could not obtain a proxy to go in her place. And, as it was Professor Layton's proposal, that is how they met. He does not find himself at the castle often, usually working or off on his quests to solve puzzles, but when he is there, he and Sam never miss the chance to have tea together, and probably do more behind closed doors...
Dr. Gregory House- Another strange match, though by the time Sam began courting House, many of Diamalthia's citizens had figured out that she enjoyed men who were quite...well, rough around the edges, and that she really doesn't care about age. House works as not only a doctor at one of Diamalthia's teaching hospitals, but as Sam's private physician as well. It is said that he gets along quite well with Professor Layton, though the two don't seem to meet up often.
