My diamond pick...
...is gone.
You see, Mineshaft #2 led me to a huge pool of lava. Luckily I found myself positioned on a single cobblestone block, well-above the deadly pool. I went to select my bucket of water from my hotbar to erase the heated threat, and as I crept to position the source block for the water... my pinky came off of the shift key.
And I fell. And burned to death. My diamond pick burned.
After staring at the screen for a good five minutes in shock, I returned to the scene with another bucket and turned much of the pool into obsidian.
I can't believe I was so dumb bringing my diamond pick on a potentially dangerous mining expedition. Ah well.
