Diamond Waters

I have started outlining a new story! ~ Diamond Waters ~

A tale of mermaids, monsters, true love, and a mysterious plague.

On the mainland, Sybil and her sister Misty live in the shambles of what was once a thriving society. A plague continues to takes the lives of those around them, and at night, man-eating creatures lurk in the mists.

An island barely visible from the mainland, the richest of society have claimed as their own. The island is free of the plague, and free of man-eating creatures. The streets are clean, the land is fertile, and nobody is allowed on or off the island. 

One stormy night, Sybil and Misty are attacked by the creatures. Running onto the rocks stretching out into the dark sea, they both fall into the raging waves.

However, instead of becoming victims of the waters, they both survive - with help from the rarely seen merfolk. Sybil is brought back to mainland, and Misty wakes up on the shores of the island, surrounded by beautiful diamond blue waters and white buildings sparkling in the sun.
