This is a favorite for a lot of people. This scripture comforts me and gives me the strength to face the day. This is one of my favorite scriptures and it happened to be a part of my devotion so I thought that I would elaborate on it a little! I've realized how central my heart is to my life. It is where I hide the word. It is where Jesus resides within me. It is where seeds are planted. It is our choice weather or not those seeds are planted in good ground. The word says "do not doubt in thy heart". When I began to sow my seeds in love, believe in the Lords perfect plan for me with all my heart I watched him grow my faith and change my life. People and circumstances that used to get to me no longer could because my heart was guarded against them and they were no longer affecting my harvest. Time after time I've let the wrong people, the wrong thoughts, the wrong job (etc) sneak into my heart because I wasn't focused on guarding it. It's not a wall we put up and walk away, we have to do our daily rounds and make sure the enemy is locked out. Keep the word handy, pray over your heart every morning, crucify your flesh every day and put on the whole armor of God! #proverbs #gaurdyourheart #diamondsandore
The writer of @patientlysingle shared this with me yesterday and it really struck a cord in me. 2 weeks and 2 days ago I found my church home and rededicated my life to the Lord. I can't speak for everyone but I know a lot of us have been to that altar so many times we began to loose faith in ourselves. But when we put our faith in the Lord who can do all things you will be amazed. I've felt refreshed and renewed in mind, body, and spirit. Cleansed by the blood and filled with the Holy Spirit. I'm watching God move in my life and change situations I've been struggling with for over 8 years. My heart is filled with the joy of the Lord and I would like to share my journey with whatever ear is willing. We are rare gems to our Heavenly Father, though we may feel like a pile of ore but profitable material can be extracted from ore even though it doesn't look pretty at first glance. Walk with Jesus, talk with him and let him extract the valuable materials from you. Let him reveal your ability to shine.
