Nothing Burns Like The Cold

Many things changed for the Vadel’s prince as he continued his stay in the Critus Kingdom. After his apology to Charlie the two didn’t exactly become friends, but the two learned to tolerate the other for longer periods of times. Emmett sat one of the many balconies of the palace looking out at the court yard as the Royal Guards trained. He smirked, raising his glass for his cup-bearer to refill “I wondered when you’d be joining me.” Emmett said as familiar footsteps approached. He looked up at his betrothed with as warm an expression as the ”Ice King” could manage. “Your men are good.” The blonde sipped from his glass ushering the other to join him.
As the other sat a second glass of wine was poured by Emmett’s attendant, “I visited here once, as a little boy... I was probably five of six.”The telepath sat his glass on the table, continuing with his story. “There was a festival or something. Maybe the Royals were just gathering, I don’t know, but the entire kingdom was decorated. I remember the elegant dinner parties your father held, playing hide-n-seek with some random kids in the palace.” He realized he’d been rambling on for a while. “Sorry, I don’t know where that came from.” He picked up his glass again. “What has the future ruler of this beautiful kingdom been up to all day?”
